The Space:
Jackson Cottage has a bright, spacious living and dining area. The perfect spot to unwind with your loved ones, you can cosy up on the blue velvet sofa or the matching armchair, light the log burner and get cosy for an evening in. The dining area includes a wooden table and four matching chairs.

Traditional, yet practical in design, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware so you can easily prepare meals throughout your stay in Thirsk.

The family bathroom is located on the ground floor and features a clean, modern space with a bathtub and overhead shower, WC and wash basin.

The property has two comfortable bedrooms. Both located on the first floor, the master bedroom features a double bed, and the second room is home to two single beds which can be configured as one bed upon request. With plush bedding and premium bed linens, every care has been taken to ensure you have a great night’s sleep at Jackson Cottage. There is ample storage space for your belongings with wardrobes and drawers available in both bedrooms.

Jackson Cottage boasts a front garden with decking. This fully enclosed space is perfect for little ones and your four-legged friends.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Private parking is available for one vehicle a short distance away from the property.

A maximum of two dogs are permitted to stay at the property per reservation. Dogs must remain downstairs at all times.

Firewood is available at the rear of the property.

The Neighborhood:
Home of the Yorkshire Vet, the traditional market town of Thirsk where you’ll find a bustling town centre with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Home to a cobbled market square with a thriving market open on Monday’s and Saturday’s, there is something for everyone in the town centre.

When staying in Thirsk, you can visit the World of James Herriott where you’ll find a museum in his converted house and veterinary surgery. Thirsk Museum is also the birthplace of Thomas Lord, the founder of the world-renowned Lords’ Cricket Ground.

Getting Around:
Jackson Cottage is within walking distance of all that Thirsk has to offer and within less than an hour’s drive time of York, Harrogate, Knaresborough and Leeds. Thirsk Racecourse and two large supermarkets can be found nearby.

Thirsk mainline railway station can be found a short walk away with routes to Middlesbrough, York, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and London amongst others.

Thirsk has great bus links to nearby towns and villages. A number of routes run throughout the town, offering direct access to Helmsley, Ripon, Northallerton and Darlington.
