Balcony Apartment in Traditional 300yr old Tyrolean Farmhouse: 250m to ski lift

Renovated in 2017, this well proportioned 80 square meter 1 bedroomed apartment is light and airy, modern and comfortable. It is very well appointed and has its own sunny west-facing private deck (above the garage) as well as an east-facing balcony off the bedroom.

The Balcony Apartment is located up a side stairway and is situated across the rear of the 1st floor of the house, which is known as Dorf30.

This apartment has a large 4-bedded family bedroom, and a cozy sitting room with a Kachelofen and two double sofabeds (one with mattress on fold-out sprung frame).

The balcony apartment has a fully fitted separate kitchen/dining room with dishwasher. The family bathroom has a deep bath with shower over and a washing machine and a clothes dryer.

Decor is light and bright with wooden floors throughout. New windows and doors were installed in 2017.

Apartment guests have shared access to the outdoor SAUNA and HOT TUB, installed new in 2018. Guests also have access to the shared ski entry (beside the garage) and use of the ski store and boot warmer facilities in the boot room.

Dorf30 is a half timber traditional Tyrolean family home, originally built c.1730 - the 30th house in the village - and was the local carpenter's home.

Dorf30 nestles in a beautiful setting just a very short stroll from the village centre (1 minute!) and the ski lifts (5 minutes max in boots!). There is a lovely garden, great views and a very warm "family home" atmosphere.

This is one of three holiday units in the building of Dorf30. The largest is the Main House, and there is also a smaller 1 bedroom flat, the Garden Apartment. All three units can be rented individually or together, to create a single inter-connected home for larger groups.

Dorf30 has been the subject of a sympathetic restoration & renovation program over many years, but is nearly finished now!

2016 saw a major external renovation of the wood and replacement of all the balconies.

In 2018 we renovated the garden hut, and initially moved the old sauna cabin out there. We also installed the outdoor sunken Whirlpool to create our very own mini "wellness centre" - available for all our guests!

The 2019 project's Pièce-de-Résistance has to be the creation of the fabulous new custom-built Old Wood & Glass sauna in the garden hut. Well in my mind it is anyway, I'll let you be the judge!

We offer FREE Unlimited Internet Access throughout all apartments.

Winter - Skiing: The house is just a short stroll from the first lift of the Ski Welt system - about 100 lifts and 250km skiing. It is literally across the road and past the small local car park. For most of the season you can ski right back to the house.

Summer: Going is a summer activity paradise! Within a short walk, cycle or drive from the house there are many different swimming pools and lakes, hiking trails, cycleways, off-road mountain bike routes, golf, horse riding, fishing, paragliding, canyoning, kayaking, children's activity parks, summer sledging and tennis.

Sehr schöne Tage in Going
Wir hatten die Dachwohnung- alles war wie im Inserat angekündigt und es hat alles hervorragend geklappt. Wenn das Wetter mitmacht (so wie bei uns) ist das Objekt ideal für Wanderungen in der Umgebung (Bushaltestelle 3 und MPreis 2 Minuten entfernt). Wir waren im Lanzenhof und in der Pizzeria essen - beides zu empfehlen. Vielleicht einziges Manko - das Haus ist schon recht hellhörig - also wenn die Bewohner der anderen Wohnung sehr laut sind, kann es morgens schnell vorbei sein mit dem Schlaf (wir hatten auch hier meistens Glück). Danke nochmals für die schönen Tage

Schöne Ferienwohnung am wilden Kaiser.
Wir waren für eine Woche in der Balkon Wohnung. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Grundstock an Lebensmitteln (Brot, Butter, Milch, Wurst, Wein/Bier). Sehr schön, besonders wenn man nach Ladenschluss anreist und nicht selbstverständlich. :) Ansonsten ist der Supermarkt in 2min zu Fuß zu erreichen. Im Garten gibt es einen Whirlpool und Sauna die man sich mit den anderen beiden Wohneinheiten teilt. Während unseres Aufenthalts war aber nur noch die Garten Wohnung belegt, so dass wir beides fast nach Belieben alleine nutzen konnten. Sehr erholsam nach einer langen Wanderung mit Blick auf die Berge. Ein Ski Lift und diverse Restaurants sind fussläufig erreichbar. Zum Skigebiet selbst kann ich nichts sagen, da wir im Herbst da waren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne und gut gelegene Unterkunft

Wir hatten schöne Tage in der Balkonwohnung. Unsere Highlights waren der großzügige Balkon mit Loungemöbeln sowie der Whirlpool im Garten mit Blick auf die Berge. Der Ort Going ist einfach nur idyllisch. Auch die Kommunikation im Vorfeld mit dem Vermieter war stets zeitnah, unkompliziert und nett. Vielen Dank Joe, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Dorf30 in Going is where my heart is. I care passionately about our home, as well as the services and facilities that we provide to our guests, very many of whom come back year after year.

Why they chose this property

I first visited Austria in 1982 and fell in love with the country. I discovered Going in 1989, specifically visiting this very property, as it was owned by the family of my oldest school friend (who still lives in the village and is now our "Hausmeister").

I have always loved the house and the unique and calm atmosphere. I had the opportunity to buy it in 2000 and have spent the time since gradually renovating and improving it.

This is our family's true home, and we really hope that you enjoy staying at Dorf30 as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

I think that this is the most perfect location in the Tyrolean alps! Walk out of the front door in summer and you have a million miles of perfect walks and bike rides, whilst in winter you have 250kms of fabulous skiing that starts just across the road. The best restaurants in the area are a 2 minute walk away and the village is beautiful, unspoilt and very traditional - and likely to stay so as there is such a strong community spirit here that keeps Going special. Right behind the house there are the most incredibly beautiful mountains anywhere - the Wilder Kaiser range is just breathtaking.
