The cabin is fantastic both in winter and during summer with proximity to skiing, golf, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and many more activities in the beautiful nature. Here you have plenty of space for the large or perhaps more families to spend a lovely holiday in. The cottage has 4 bedrooms with capacity for 11 adults plus 1 child under 12 years of age. You have two bathrooms with showers, one of which is also equipped with a sauna. Large open spaces between the kitchen and the living room that have windows that stretch to the ceiling and give a great view of the landscape. After a day on the ski slopes or on the golf course, settling down in this fantastically beautiful house with sauna, wood burning stove and a large terrace is simply wonderful. Here you can feel the calmness and you are captivated by the view and you enjoy life and feel how the stress just disappears.
To see and do in Idre and the surrounding area
From the cabin, you can stroll down to Idrefjällsgolf to take on the challenges on the beautiful golf course.
In winter, you have several ski facilities around Idre, which means a lot of opportunities for both downhill and cross-country skiing. Idre fjäll is about 15 minutes away by car and here there are 40 slopes of varying difficulty levels. There are also 5 km of tracks for those who prefer cross-country skiing. Approx. 38 km from Idre lies Grövelsjöfjällen, which is Sweden's southernmost mountain. The area that stretches in Dalarna and Norway offers fantastic mountain views and here there are several cross-country skiing trails to choose from. Grövelsjöfjällen also offers alpine slopes for fast-paced days and it is also possible to rent snow scooters. One tip is experiences that can be booked via 'Renbiten', a chance to hike with reindeer and learn more about Sami culture and its history in the area.
In the summer there is plenty of activities to explore. There are many hiking trails and mountain peaks around Idre. Hike around, or up to Städjan (1131 m), Nipfjället (1191 m). Take the car 20 minutes across the Norwegian border and hike up to Elgåhogna (1460). Here there is also the opportunity to experience rafting and horse riding. It is also possible to rent a mountain bike here. If you are into fishing, the area around Idre is rich in this. Or why not take part in a beaver or moose safari? In Grövelsjö, you can book guided hiking tours, as well as day and night tours.
