Our beautiful two bedroom lodge “Cathedral View 1” offers a touch of luxury for your break away in the Cambridgeshire countryside.
Nestled on the water’s edge, with a private hot tub, you really can relax and take in the views across the water and into the fields beyond.
Handcrafted by local carpenters, Cathedral View 1 offers all you could need for a quick or lengthier getaway, with a modern interior and luxury fittings throughout. Kitchen with undercounter fridge, 4 ring hob, oven, mini freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and all cutlery and crockery supplied, bathroom with full sized shower and toilet, and a comfy superking bed in the master bedroom and twin beds in the second bedroom (can be pushed together to a superking as needed). Additional sleeping for extra guests in the form of a sofa bed in the lounge. With the addition of air conditioning for the warmer days, Cathedral 1 is the perfect spot at any time of year.
Fishing available on site with the purchase of a fishing ticket, and access granted to all lakes on site. Cathedral View 1 is situated on our Reservoir, but offers easy access to all other lakes just a stone’s throw away.
Check in from 4pm and Check Out at 9.30am.

The perfect place to relax and unwind, enjoy a day fishing, or use as a base to explore the wider area. Beautiful place to stay in the county while conveniently near town.

First time visit to England from US to visit my sister and nieces who live nearby in Upwell. We wanted a place with AC as we are a bit spoiled as americans when it comes to AC, and found this place near Ely on a fishing lake. It was an exceptional find, to say the least. Close to Ely, the shops and cathedral, and not a far drive to many other places, including Cambridge. The hot-tub was nice, setting beautiful, and hosts were excellent too. Honestly couldn't have expected anything better, and though I didn't make use of the lake for fishing, I could see plenty of activity on the lake at night with the carp surfacing to eat mayflies. Maybe next time. The hosts were very communicative and the gates into the property easy to work. When I return I hope to be able to stay here again. Thank you!!!

Peace Perfect Peace

Loved the setting and the lodge was comfortable for our needs. Ideal for visiting Ely. Would have liked a few more days our booking was too short which is a measure of how much we enjoyed our stay. (3 night stay)
