Disliked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Ants and Very Little Hot Water
Severe lack of information for check in and check out processes. Host only provides any info if you ask. Stayed 2 nights.
Things that seem important:
- 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, 1 shower mat
- No paper towel, no napkin, no dish towel
- Ants kept getting into the property (probably killed upwards of 60 during a 2 day stay)
- Upstairs room was not tall enough to stand up in. Ceiling was around 5 foot 7 inches tall.
- Property manager says they speak English and Italian on VRBO website but they didn't speak any English. This made communication very difficult. Originally one of the main reasons for booking here.
- Hot water heater was the size of a small propane tank, meaning you couldn't shower normally. Had maybe 2 min of acceptable water temp before being empty.
- Shower drain cover was not secured leading to stepping into drain accidentally.
- Property manager made us pay the tourist tax in cash, said it was impossible to pay by card.
- Property is on the 4th floor, with no elevator. No mention of this on the listing. Hauling suitcases up this was not fun. Property manger did not offer to help and was rushing us to get into the property.
- Internet that was provided was very slow, took forever to look anything up.
- Naples in general was very dirty. Trash everywhere and didn't feel safe, would not recommend for females traveling alone.
Things that were good:
- Overall place was clean
- AC was fantastic
