About this property

Shrawardine Station Train Carriage sleeps 4 Fishing and Wild Swimming

Swim – Relax – Explore in luxury.

The romance of the railway awaits the intrepid traveller in this reproduction train carriage on the old engine yard at Shrawardine Station.

Step into a 1st Class sleeper carriage decorated with decadent fabrics by Fermoie&Pierre Frey.

The separate restaurant car & bathroom are located in the old guard’s hut providing a kitchen & dining table.

Located on The Old Potts Line, history&luxury combine on an exclusive site surrounded by sunsets, stars and wildlife.
The space
The final touches and soft furnishings are being added to the carriage and guards hut to be finished in time for cosy winter breaks in November 2021 - please send a message to see interior images of progress..

Please note there is electricity and water on site and it’s all working and ready to go so we are delighted to offer full bathroom facilities including a flushing loo and hot shower. Heating, smart TV, electric stove, cooker and a full size fridge. This is glamping with all the mod-cons!
Guest access
There are great walks from the doorstep along the old railway track to the river, winding through the attractive village of Shrawardine and beyond.

Discover the old platforms and station buildings hidden by the side of the footpath.

When you reach the site of the old railway bridge that spanned the river Severn at Shrawardine, there is a lovely spot to savour the view across the river meadows from a height.

The edge of the engine yard site borders with a field where our cattle graze and wildlife abound
