Stepping inside Captains Rest, guests will discover a light-filled and beautifully furnished home. An inviting living room with its large flat screen TV and roomy corner sofa lie open plan with the kitchen / dining area to create a convivial space for cooking, eating and relaxing together. French doors opening out to the garden mean guests can enjoy that fabulous indoor / outdoor lifestyle so synonymous with summer holidays, while upstairs, two beautiful bedrooms and a modern family bathroom with separate bath and shower, provide all the space a party of four could wish for.
Outside to the back of the property, the cottage’s lovely south-facing garden includes a raised terrace with an outdoor dining suite where guests can enjoy barbecues in the sunshine, and when the evenings draw in, they can light the chiminea and pop open a bottle of bubbly before settling back for conversation around the fire.
Captains Rest lies close to an ancient wood which teems with wildlife including birds of all varieties, so the sound of birdsong creates a magical atmosphere. It's also a terrific base from which to explore the local area, with the National Trust’s Godolphin Estate, it’s Medieval garden and historic house being just down the road. The ancient town of Helston lies around 4.5 miles away, and Porthleven, with its trendy food scene and famous harbour is just a few minutes’ drive away.

Pets: 1 Pet accepted. Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £25 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation.
Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £100 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.
