We are a mixed English/French couple living nearby to the house in Etaples. We have family here and have been coming to the area for many years for our own holidays. In our opinion Etaples / Le Touquet is a special place. Beautiful beaches and attractive towns packed full of character and things to do.

We fell in love with this house instantly. Both for its character and its unique location a stones throw from the marina in Etaples. Even back then before our renovations the house was bathed in light, we could see the potential immediately. Over the years we have enjoyed many happy relaxing times here, buying local fresh food and enjoying walks on the beach.

There are many long sandy beaches here within a 10-20 minute drive. You can hire bikes in Etaples and cycle to the beach in Le Touquet in 20 minutes! It's the perfect location if you are a foodie, with local farm produce available at the bi-weeky market and fresh caught fish, you'll be in heaven. If cooking is not your thing, then there are many restaurants to try and during the summer season, apero on the beach at sunset is a must. If you like adventure and sport, you can kitesurf, surf, paddleboard, kayak, sandsail and even try longe cote. Inland there are plenty of lovely villages, especially well known is Montrueil Sur Mer, where you can circumnavigate it on the rampart walk. Really there is something for everyone.
