About the host

Hosted by Tereska Walker

Host profile image
My name is Tereska, I find myself an accidental host, we were developing the Barn for when my parents came to stay, unfortutely my father died suddenly and my mum went into a home before we finished the renovations so the lodge sat empty, we'd put so much hard work and love into it so we decided to rent it out and became hosts and we've never looked back, we thoroughly enjoy welcoming and helping customers make memories with their family, as we live close to the lodge we manage everything ourselves and make sure everything is 100% perfect, our attention to detail is second to non.

Why they chose this property

Wales is the most stunning part of the world, it's views and countryside are spectacular, we have dark sky status and looking into the sky on a clear night is like being on the edge of the world, where we are there is no such thing as rush hour traffic or long tailbacks! We are just 3 miles from the Vrnwy hotel which holds weddings, has spa facilities and a helipad and the captivating lake Vyrnwy with watersports and flyfishing, its beauty is amazing from the land but from the water it is breathtaking, the architecture is truly incredible. There are acres of woodland and forest tracks to explore, lovely river walks, quaint cafes, pubs and restuarants and lovely market towns, the locals are super friendly and welcome tourists. We are not far from the coast and have some beautiful clean beaches to visit. There are steam railways, zipwire adventures and everything inbetween, petting farms, tombstoning, trampolining, watersports, kite feeding and birdwatching or if you just want to relax then stay at the lodge and float in the hot tub, relax in front of the log fire or sunbathe on the private entertainment area.

What makes this property unique

The lodge is detatched with plenty of parking for numerous cars! It is a perfect place to relax with friends and family, large open plan living that flows onto the outside area through large bi-fold doors so no one feels left out! All of the en-suite bedrooms boast space, quality and tranquility! No expense has been spared, from the chrisp white egyptian cotton sheets, top quality beds, the fluffy bathrobes, tropical shower enclosure, carpets and underfloor heating, large tv's, top of the range kitchen and appliances, coffee machine, wine cooler, oak doors and counters throughout, rattan seating and loungers outside and a top of the range hot tub with 86 jets and 2 pumps! The views from the seating area and hot tub are truly stunning, not overlooked and completely private.
