Please note: No children or babes in arms. . The wonderfully named Batty’s Hangout is a sublime cottage. Historically stabling, this granite stone barn now offers a superb haven for a two, where you can immerse yourself in the gorgeous North Cornish countryside.
Once inside, you will simply just want to relax, such is the influence of your surroundings. A light, open plan living space with inviting sofa and chair, impressive high beamed ceiling and original stone fireplace housing a wood burning stove. Enjoy any meal in comfort at the traditional style dining table whilst the kitchen has a modern, classic style. Shallow steps lead to the bedroom has a sumptuous kingsize bed, with a high beamed ceiling and soft, subtle décor. There is an en-suite with Whirlpool bath for a luxurious soak after a busy day of discoveries. Outside the patio space allows you to savour the sunshire with a morning coffee or end of day beverage.
From the property itself you are within easy reach of a plethora of walks and cycles trails, including Lanhydrock House and gardens with its inclusive cycle routes and manicured gardens. The dramatic North Coast lies just 6 miles distant, where rugged cliffs, stunning beaches and breath-taking scenery awaits. The gateway to Bodmin Moor is a stones throw away, an atmospheric place with ancient stone circles, magnificent tors and far-reaching vistas; wildlife abounds. Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle have a beauty all of their own. Tintagel, linked forever with King Arthur’s legend; Port Isaac of ‘Doc Martin’ fame; and pretty Boscastle, with its picturesque harbour, are a joy. Padstow, with its bustling harbour, award winning restaurants, narrow streets and boutique shops is a magnet for all.
