Kudhva is a 43 acre off-grid accommodation experience which boasts 180 degree views of the North Cornish coastline. A rugged slate track (please take it slow) leads you to our car park, from here you walk up the track into a willow grove and our reception building, where you will be warmly welcomed by our front of house.
Kudhva is an abandoned slate quarry, turned sustainable holiday destination, but it's wild and rough terrain remain - we welcome adventurous travellers and curious hardy folk to join its splendour. Pack to suit; waterproofs, head torches, sturdy footwear and backpacks are all recommended.
That's not to say we don't throw in a touch of luxe. Our Shanti Tipis sit prominently upon the hillside, facing out toward the Atlantic Ocean, and enjoy some of the best views in the house. Simple but supremely comfortable, our tipis are a great way to enjoy the sounds of the surrounding nature from within their warm and protective canvas walls.
Tipi 2 is a unique BLACK canvas shelter for 2023 that sits overlooking the valley that leads down to the ocean. Relax and soak in the endless sunsets, stars and abundant ocean views.
Each tipi comes equipped with a comfy double bed, sheet and pillows. Simply bring your own lighting, duvet or sleeping bag, and bathing towels.
There is a shared fire-pit with seating for use in the tipi field, alongside our scenic communal fire-pits located in the willow grove.
A few minutes walk away you will find our showers, loos and solar powered reception building, which hosts a large and well equipped communal kitchen, lounge area and dining space. Filtered water runs on tap direct from our own natural source.
Stroll to the beach along the old miners path or enjoy some wild swimming in our secluded forest lake with 40ft waterfall.
Sessions in our wood-fired hot tub, delicious breakfast baskets and local, sustainable firewood are also available to book upon arrival for an additional cost. Please contact us if you would like to pre-book for your stay.
