About this property
Traditional 2 bedroom house with yard SSCH1
SSCH1 – historically
This charming 80-year-old maisonette is reminiscent of times gone by. It has experienced
so much life and heard lots of laughter. Once upon a time it was a cherished family home,
way back in the seventies when St. Julian's was just a sleepy fishing village. In recent
years, it was discovered by digital nomads and for the last two it has been
accommodating vacationers.
SSCHI – internally
Upon entering the property, you will be impressed by the beautiful Maltese tile flooring,
the original limestone walls and high ceilings throughout. The property is bright, sunny
and airy, comprising of 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms one of which is ensuite, fitted
with a walk-in shower and washing machine. Next to the open-plan living room, you will
find a fully equipped kitchen including a coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster.
Free WiFi and fresh linen are provided upon check-in. Another main feature of the
property is the cozy yard with outdoor furniture - the perfect spot to chill out, far from the
madding crowds.
SSCH1 - externally
Whatever it is that you might be looking for, this home is perfectly located in the most
happening and colorful seaside town on the island. Whether walking, driving, busing,
bolting or Ubering it, you're going to be on exact point.
The long seafront promenade is ideal for walking and for achieving those coveted 10,000
daily steps. You can walk up to Paceville, the main nightlife zone on Malta, to Balluta bay
with its iconic art deco buildings and ancient kiosk or further on to Sliema, best known
for its local glitterati, beach clubs, shopping malls, eateries, cruise boats and the ferry
crossing over to Valletta, our stunning capital city, from where you may board yet another
ferry to cross over to the epic three cities.
For the drivers, please note that parking in St. Julian's is not without its challenges. For
this reason, the new Villa Anna Teresa public car park, a few streets away, is a stroke of
luck, especially because rates are surprisingly reasonable. However, should you find a
parking spot anywhere on the street (within white line markers on the ground) then this
will be free of charge.
If you are intent on hopping onto the local buses, a two-minute stroll will lead you down
the street and onto the promenade where you will immediately find bus stops on either
side of the road depending on where it is that you wish to go to. You will also find bars,
cafes, restaurants and water polo clubs.
St. Julian's is our 24/7 city; it is unstoppable. Notwithstanding, the property is suitable for
any age group and family composition. SSCH1 has welcomed party goers, divers, young,
older and even older couples, families with children and/or adolescents, small groups of
friends and even solo travelers. Being on the ground floor with only two very low steps
leading into the property it has also been frequented by people with mobility issues. Quite
the eclectic bunch. This diversity has only been possible due to the property's layout and
location, situated in the heart of it all but intriguingly cocooned from the cacophony of
sounds along the promenade. It is, as it has always been, a siesta kind of place, inviting
you to slow down and simply be.
