If you love an area that has places to go shopping, a variety of pubs and cafés to meet friends for lunch, you’ll love Mapperley. There’s a lot to this residential area in the north-east of Nottingham, only a 15-minute walk from the city centre itself. It has nearby medical facilities and with popular day-out destinations only a short drive away, such as Sherwood Forest, Rufford Abbey Park and Clumber Park, Mapperley could be a great place to raise a family. Mapperley is considered a conservation area, meaning the nature around the area will be relatively undisturbed. This provides an opportunity for a potential home surrounded by trees and greenery, giving it a parkland feel. The property is in a building that was constructed between 1857 and 1859. The building is named after an architect who was a particularly successful and prolific local architect at the time. The grounds are extensive and cover 10 acres of grounds with a path through the woods that goes past the old stables.
