The house is divided into two family suites each comprising one king-size bedroom and one twin bedroom with adjoining bathroom. One bathroom has a walk in shower, the other has a large bath. The large kitchen/ dining room is fully equipped with modern energy efficient appliances. The living room has a flat screen TV, DVD CD and music system. The private courtyard garden is entirely enclosed with a view of the forest. A terrace with a barbecue is perfect for outdoor dining.

Excellent location in walking distance to Poligny village center and in the heart of Jura

Fantastic stay with very nice host! Perfect to explore the French Jura for families or 2 couples Place as described, very calm and perfectly equipped for short to longer stays. Comfortable beds, nearby choice of boulangeries and lots of ideas from Jennifer what to do in the surroundings.

What a fantastic rental! The home itself is perfectly appointment with all the modern finishes anyone could hope for, accompanied by the rustic charm of this beautifully renovated home. The kitchen and lounge are spacious and inviting and the bedrooms and baths are exquisite and comfortable. The garden is such a lovely place to enjoy the day. We loved being in Poligny - the village is charming and convenient to everything you could need. It is a great starting place to explore all that Jura has to offer. Jennifer is a fantastic host! It was a please to get to know her and her family. She provided many recommendations and advice for our stay, and provided so many special extras for our daughter. Jennifer went above and beyond to ensure our trip was everything we hoped for. We would absolutely come back!

Perfect gite in a lovely town. Very roomy.

We stayed here for a month, and were sad to leave. Poligny has everything one might need and the area has so much to see. The Jura is beautiful. Our host Jennifer was amazing. Always helpful and provided extras that we needed. The kitchen had everything for cooking and eating. The beds were comfortable. The two and a half bathrooms were appreciated. The yard is lovely. There is no A/C, but fans are available. We loved our stay.

Familienurlaub in Poligny

Das Ferienhaus ist in der Altstadt, ruhig aber zentral gelegen. Man hat sehr viel Platz und hat den Innenhof, der neben einem Kloster liegt für sich. Für Wander/ Radrunden am Rand des Juras gut geeignet. Kontakt zur Vermieterin ist einfach und sie hilft, wenn sie kann. Es war eine tolle Woche!

Fabulous

Wonderful house in a gorgeous town. The kitchen was well-appointed and we had every amenity we needed. The house stayed cool in the heat and the garden had patches of shade from the afternoon - it was a really lovely spot to enjoy the evenings outside. Jennifer was a fabulous host and we would love to return.

Superbe gîte tout confort

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans le gîte de Jennifer. Il s’agit d’une maison de ville, à quelques minutes à pieds des commerces de Poligny, tout en ayant l’impression d’être en pleine nature grâce à son beau jardin. Le gîte est décoré avec goût et très bien équipé avec du matériel de qualité et des jeux pour enfants, nous n’avons manqué de rien. Jennifer a été réactive pour répondre à nos questions et de bons conseils. Nous avons suivi ses recommandations et avons été enchantés par la découverte de la région. Encore merci pour avoir contribué à rendre ce week-end d’anniversaire mémorable !

Beautiful House for family holiday

We enjoyed our stay at the holiday House very much. The Garten is beautiful. The kitchen is very good equiped. Everything was clean. Jenny was very kind even did send back our forgotten items to Germany.

Excellent Noel à Poligny

Une maison de village très agréable, parfaitement équipée et très fonctionnelle. Mélange très réussi d’aménagement moderne dans de vieilles pierres. La maison est bien située dans le village de Poligny, lui-même idéalement placé pour les adeptes de la nature et la découverte du Jura.

Beautiful appointed house with very friendly owners

A lovely property suitable for 2 families. Jennifer was great to deal with, very friendly and answered all my questions. The house is very spacious with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Poligny is a beautiful town with nice shops and cafes. The surrounding area has plenty to do and is also very beautiful. One word of warning.... if you leave the bedroom open you might get a friendly bat roosting there treating you to a nighttime flight around the room!!! All in all a great place to stay!

Dorfcharakter

Der Empfang war unkompliziert und einfach. Ein Anruf genügte und Jennifer stand schon vor der Tür. Die Unterkunft sieht genau so aus wie auf den Bildern. Alles ist sehr schön, gemütlich und praktisch eingerichtet. Der Hof ist zur alleinigen Benützung mit Terrasse, Grill und Liegestühlen. Im unteren Eingang steht ein kleiner Billard- oder Tischfussballtisch, den wir rege benutzt haben. Jennifer gab uns wertvolle Tipps über Sehenswürdigkeiten. Im Dorf selbst gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum Einkauf von Wein, Käse, Brot und Fleisch. Am Ende der Woche durften wir am traditionellen jährlichen Fondueabend teilnehmen. Über 300 Personen haben sich im Hauptsträsschen niedergelassen, um das Fondue bei Musik und Wein zu geniessen. Herzlichen Dank!

Sehr geschmackvoll renoviertes historisches Haus mit viel Platz zum Geniessen

Das modern und sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattete Haus mit 4 gleichwertigen Schlafzimmern war für unsere Gruppe die aus vier Paaren bestand, ideal. Nur bei den Betten unterscheiden sich die Zimmer, zweimal französische sowie zweimal einzelbetten. Je 2 Zimmer teilen sich ein Bad mit Toilette, darüberhinaus gibt es ein Gäste WC! Wir waren uns einig, die Matratzen waren von super Qualität !! Wir waren im Mai 2018 im Haus von Jennifer zu Gast und hatten fantastisches Wetter. Die Mahlzeiten haben wir überwiegend auf der Holzterrasse eingenommen, obwohl die geräumige Küche über einen wunderbaren Tisch für acht Personen verfügt. Der Garten ist entzückend aufgeteilt in den Teil mit terrassierter Holzterrasse und einem Rasenstück mit Sitzmöbeln. Den Webergrill stellten wir funkenflugsicher auf den Kiesweg. Der Garten wird von einer alten Klostermauer weitläufig umrahmt: ich habe es geliebt am späten Abend oder frühen Morgen in die Stille der Natur zu hören, ohne das Brummen der Zivilisationsgeräusche. Die Küche ist gut und umfangreich ausgestattet und fehlt etwas (bei uns: Rührgerät, um Eiweiss für das Soufflé zu schlagen) stellt Jennifer es sofort zur Verfügung. Jennifer hat umfangreiche aussagekräftige Informationen zu der Gegend, hinsichtlich Ausflügen und Besichtigungen zusammengestellt. Daneben hilft sie aber auch auf Nachfrage unaufdringlich weiter. Sie wohnt mit ihrer Familie 150 m weiter in derselben Straße. So schlossen wir unsere Ferienwoche mit einer Weinprobe bei ihrem örtlichen Lieblingswinzer Michel Thibaut ab, der zu jedem Wein eine örtliche Spezialität (Stück Käse oder Wurst, Schinken) reichte! Im ‚maison du Comté’ bekamen wir eine deutschsprachige Führung. In Poligny waren die Bäcker so gut, dass wir täglich abwechselten, um von allem probieren zu können. Der Markt war uns zu übersichtlich! - Lons-le Saunier hat uns gut gefallen, denn die Frauen konnten Kleider shoppen und die Männer sich nach einer Stadtführung in der Bar in den Laubengängen entspannen. Ein Muss: Baumes-les-Messieurs (= Kloster, Höhle) und Chateau Chalon (Spezialität: Vin jaune). Cascades du Hérisson.

A charming and well situated home in a beautiful town.

Beautiful property, very peaceful. Each bedroom is individual and well decorated. Two bathrooms perfect. Large room for storing our bikes and securely out of sight of the street. Well equipped with everything that we needed. Handy flick chart guide to local points of interest, meals out and things to do. We spent the week swimming in lakes and rivers, cycling, and visiting Poligny and local towns. Many thanks!

Le gite est Au depart de beaucoup de visites dans cette magnifique region. Il est tres propre et decore avec gout et sobriété. Les lits sont bons , l'équipement est parfait.

Why they chose this property

We love living in the historic centre of Poligny. We decided to renovate this property to rent as a holiday home as we saw its potential. It is located in a charming area in the historic centre of Poligny. The courtyard garden makes it a haven of peace and tranquillity. It is perfect for holidaymakers getting away from the noise and hassle of city life. The only thing to disturb you during your stay would be the bells from the neighbouring convent or Church and the birds singing in the forest behind the house. You can do all your shopping on foot with local shops providing Comté cheese, speciality sausages and meats, Jura wine and locally produced fresh groceries and a small market twice a week. A stay in Poligny will give visitors a taste of authentic French living unspoilt by the hoards of tourists in other better known areas of France.

What makes this property unique

The house has been renovated and designed to meet the needs of a large family or a groups of friends. It is spacious, comfortable and elegant with a tasteful mix of modern and traditional styles. There is something for everybody. Whether you enjoy relaxing in the quiet outdoor garden, playing babyfoot in the games room, surfing the internet with the free WIFI or enjoying the local specialities in the wonderful kitchen/dining room- the property caters for everyone.
