Upon entering this magnificent property, you’re welcomed by an open plan living/dining room and activities to keep you occupied. Host a private family party in the bar area, or alternatively, enjoy a quiet evening while the teenagers head outside to the beer garden. The commercial kitchen has everything you need to prepare hearty meals with ample seating for everyone in the dining room, this is perfect venue for a get-together. The first floor has a shared shower room. The second floor features two double bedrooms with a TV and en-suite shower, one of which has views to the sea. The third double has its own kitchen, so you don’t have to go far if you fancy a cuppa. Then there’s a twin bedroom. On the third floor there’s a twin room which is perfect for children, note the access is via a low ceiling.
Port Carlisle is within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with stunning scenery, pleasant walks and cycle routes. Port Carlisle is on the national cycle way – Route 72, otherwise known as Hadrian’s Cycleway. It passes the wall itself, many Roman Forts and museums along the way. The stretch at The Hope and Anchor offers breath-taking views of the coast, The Solway and Scotland. From here you can easily explore historic Carlisle, 12 miles, Hadrian’s Wall and Silloth Championship links golf course, 16 miles, and it’s a great base if you love the outdoors. The Lake District National Park is about 30 minutes’ drive where you can access The Northern Fells such as Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn. Keswick, and the West Cumbrian Coast and all its attractions is about 45 minutes. Beach 200 yards.
