This cozy New England beach home offers a comfortable retreat for 8 and is in close proximity to Scarborough Beach!

Just a short drive to many of Narragansett's favorite attractions, including The Coast Guard House, Iggy's, the Block Island Ferry, and many more! This is the perfect home for a fun and affordable stay!

Narragansett is a beautiful beach town with something for everyone. With many family friendly beaches to choose from; Scarborough Beach, Narragansett Town Beach, Roger Wheeler State Beach, and Salty Brine State Beach, all a short drive away. Close by, the Block Island Ferry brings travelers to both Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket, a lovely day trip. Grab lobsters off the boat in Galilee, or grab dinner and drinks in the port! There are plenty of entertainment options close by, and in Providence and Newport. Take a trip to Charleston or Westerly, to explore more of Rhode Island's beautiful beaches, history, and eclectic art instillations and galleries!

The first floor is equipped with two of the bedrooms and a full bathroom. The spacious kitchen and living room area is perfect for friends or family gatherings. For those who prefer a relaxing night under the stars, the picnic table and deck just off the kitchen, is the perfect space to gather for a summer BBQ! The second floor is home to 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Around back you'll find a favorite of many guests, the outdoor shower. Make sure to wash that sand off before entering the home, please!

**Bed sheets, bath towel sets, hand towels, kitchen towels, and bathmats will arrive in a big linen bag at your doorstep. The items are packaged in plastic to ensure that each renter is given a fresh set for their stay. This will mean making the beds, as I like to make sure that is understood as part of our efforts to put our renters' minds at ease regarding the cleanliness of the linens. Starter supplies are provided with each rental. Starter sets include at least: one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one dishwasher pod, one laundry pod, three trash bags, a new sponge, and small bars of hand soap in each bathroom. Guests will need to bring anything they'll need beyond those starter supplies.

Family Vacation

Everything was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The layout of the property worked great for us to enjoy the week with our son’s family and our grandchildren. The rooms were nice and dark and quiet and the air conditioning units were perfect. Nice walk to the beach or a quick walk to pizza.

Management Company was useless

Day one the toilet was broken in addition to a futon sleeper. We called them and they assured us that they would be fixed that never happened. Not a call back or even a text message. The house needs some work, for the amount we paid not worth it. We will never rent again, the owner needs to rent the house themselves. Do not waste your money on property management.

Excellent location!

Great vacation at this property!! Location is the best! Short walk to beach, central location makes it easy to get around! BEST outdoor shower…water pressure was unreal! Great deck for having dinner and spending time with family/friends! Could have been a little cleaner…but a quick wipe with some spray and paper towel and good to go! Would 100% rent this property again!!!

Scarborough Vacay!

Excellent location within walking distance to the beach! Plenty of room for our family with a nice yard for the grandkids to play in. They lived the outdoor shower!

Close to beaches

We had a nice vacation in the home was in a great location. Walkable to Scarborough beach and close drive to several others in the area. All the beaches are a little different so that was a nice surprise. My only concern was the noise around the house. There were two construction sites,, one on either side of us. Next time I would check to see if that is going on during the time we vacation. It was an problem for us because one of our family members has issues with these noises and I wish I would have known ahead of time. It is no fault of VRBO. I know some other shore towns prohibit construction during the summer since people are on vacation. Waking up to a backhoe and trucks at 7:45 AM can be a little offputting, but especially given our situation. There are also lawns (as opposed to sand and rocks) on the properties that line the street and houses are very close to each other, so if mowers are an issue, this shore area may not be the area for you. If the noise doesn’t bother you it is an excellent location and the house was very nice. It was exactly as described had plenty of pots and pans and everything we needed for our stay. The couch was very comfortable and they were extra beach chairs and footballs for us to use which was a nice addition. The property management team was very friendly and accommodating and easy to deal with.

Hurricane Henri almost canceled the trip

We lost two days of this vacation due to the hurricane,but we still had a great time. We were scheduled to arrive Saturday, along with the storm. We decided to delay arrival until Monday., once we were assured the house was undamaged and had power. The rental manager kept us informed. It was our second time at this home, and some improvements had been made. We especially appreciated the living room air conditioning. The post hurricane weather was perfect for beach days, but Scarborough South was closed, so that doubled the distance we had to walk.

Great Location for Walking to Scarborough Beach and Lovely Neighborhood

This is a relatively up-to-date older Cape home in a great location with friendly neighbors - especially if you like the beach and not the parking fees. It was great to have an outside shower, washer and dryer, and heat pump for AC in the living room/kitchen area. Window AC units in each bedroom were okay, with the exception of the back left bedroom where it had a musty/moldy smell. Overall, this place was adequate for our purposes in renting, but it could have been cleaner. The floors were a bit gritty when we walked in, and there were cobwebs at some of the ceilings. The microwave oven was gross inside, but worked fine once we got it cleaned-out. The refrigerator clearly needs to be replaced; having ice in the frost-free freezer and having frozen any of our foods that happened to get pushed to the back of the refrigerator. The kitchen had ample dishes and cookware - once we found all that there was, though it was very poorly/not at all organized when we arrived. There was (almost literally) TONS of trash and recycling collected in the back yard and items used at the beach and in the yard, but left behind by others, have clearly been accumulating for a while. The communication with the agency was spotty - except when they wanted their paperwork and payments.

Family vacation

We had a very positive experience in the Narragansett home. The location was within walking distance of the beach and a quick drive to grocery store etc. on the one rainy day there were other things to do in the area. The deck on the side was very convenient and there were plenty of sand chairs for the beach. Two of the bedrooms were spacious enough for a port a crib for the baby and futon for the toddler. Good week.

Nice place, but dirty

This house is comfortable and walking distance to Scarborough Beach, but it was not clean and the property manager didn’t care. Kitchen was especially dirty — dishwasher full of dishes with caked-on food, dried food all over stove, fridge was sticky, ice cube trays were moldy. Deck had an overflowing barrel of garbage in the recycling container that wasn’t picked up all week. Bath room rugs were filthy — looked like they hadn’t been washed all season. Too bad — it’s a good location, but it was gross. And I’m not a clean freak! Had to start our vacation by cleaning 😞

Great location and great house.

Plenty of space and perfect for our family of 5. Easy walking distance to the beach. Very clean and loaded with all the amenities of home. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to rent their home and we would certainly love to come back next year.
