Le Petit Prince
It is with reluctance that I write this review of Le Petit Prince because I would prefer to keep it a secret. The house and cottage make a perfect combination to accommodate guests and the exotic garden is a beautiful secluded spot to relax and eat whilst looking over towards Renoir's estate at Les Collettes. The medieval village of Haut-de-Cagnes just above the house is surely the most beautiful village on the Côte d'Azur - and only a few minutes from the airport. Antibes, St. Paul de Vence and Nice are easily reached by car or bus. The house is well equipped with all the necessary gear including international TV and Wifi.
If I could book it for the year I would without hesitation - thank you family Gilsbro for sharing your beautiful home with us, and thank you Rosanna for your warm welcome and courteous management.
I'll be back.
What a beautiful review Patrick ! Thank you so much. And it's true that the village of Cagnes sur mer is exceptionnal and authentic. I am happy to see you again in July ! Kind regards.
Central and perfect for small children
We stayed in this house for six days and it was perfect for us and our little toddler, 15 months old. We liked the location just between the castle and the village. We also used the separate guest house when friends of us came visiting for three days. The house itself is very charming and the kitchen and living room has very easy access to the nice outdoor space. We would highly recommend the property to families with children or two couples traveling together.
Thank you for your kind review, Eivind. The new owners have done a lot of works in the house since the've bought it 2 years ago, to give renters the maximum comfort. Look forward to see you again. Kind regards.
I've been in August with my partner and my 2 years old child, and we've liked a lot the place, it's very quiet and it's near the village and not too far from the beach, we used to go on foot with my baby, more or less 30 minutes. Just two bad point, wet and a lot of mosquitos.
A place we can recommand for other families.
Le Petit prince is a good place to stay. It is good located, but not so near the beach that I thought. But we loved better the location near the centre of the town, Renoir museum and the castle and the good restaurants in the village. The house is also good located for the bus. We also loved the house and the garden. This is a place we would like to go back to...
Le Petit Prince is located at the foot of the hill where the village of Haut de Cagnes is, and a couple of minutes walk from the town centre of Cagnes sur Mer. In the medieval village at the top, there are more than 10 restaurants. Cagnes sur Mer is the place for grocery shopping - there is a wonderful covered market, bakeries, shops and supermarkets. The beach is about a 20 min walk from the house, and the bus station is only a couple of minutes away.
had a wonderfull holliday and we are re booking for 2009
nice and quite
Hi Micko, I´m very happy that you enjoyed your stay, and that you´re coming back for another 4 weeks! Thanks!
The medieval village of Haut de Cagnes is only 15 min from Nice airport, and no more than 20-30 min from Cannes. It is situated just off the coast, between Nice and Antibes. The beach is about a 20 min walk - or a 5 min drive. In the immediate neighbourhood are places like Nice, St Paul de Vence, Vence, Cannes and Grasse. The mountain villages of Tourrette-sur-Loup and Gourdon are within easy reach. The area offers not only wonderful museums, but also a rich variety of culinary specialities, vineyards etc. Shopping is at its best in Cannes, Monaco and Nice. Just across the border, on the Italian side, the Friday market in Ventimiglia presents Italian leather ware, cashmere clothing, and much more.
