Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: Aberfeldy, a market town in rural Perthshire, is situated on the River Tay amidst breath-taking natural beauty. The Birks of Aberfeldy is well-known as the setting of Robert Burns's poem of the same name. Aberfeldy, a thriving market town, may be found in rural Perthshire, right on the banks of the River Tay. Aberfeldy is situated just to the south of Glen Lyon, which is widely regarded as Scotland's most extended, isolated, and beautiful valley. Notwithstanding the bridge built in 1733 for General Wade, the town is famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy. The beautiful scenery is just one of several attractions available to visitors. Trails go through the woods and through the countryside, and there's even a 10-mile path that follows the river. Both the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7 pass close to Aberfeldy. Rafting the whitewater of the River Tay is an exciting way to see the scenery. After extensive renovation, the 16th-century Castle Menzies is finally open to the public. Take a tour of the distillery at Dewar's World of Whisky, located on the outskirts of town. Enjoy the many restaurants, bars, and cafes, as well as the many shops selling local art and crafts, such as the Scottish Chocolate Centre. The Scottish Crannog Centre gives visitors a glimpse into Iron Age life, while neighbouring Lake Tay and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park provide opportunities for a variety of watersports. As many as 30 Munros can be "bagged" within an hour's trip.
