About this property
Picturesque 2 bedroom cottage
A picturesque cottage in the most idyllic setting, right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales village of Grassington. This 2 bedroom cottage, sleeping 4 people offers a superb standard of accommodation, it has been fully refurbished and is deceptively spacious. Featuring attractive, and fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, integrated microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Back door leads out onto small seating area. The dining area is adjacent to the living space, and seats 4 people. Comfortable living space, with front aspect over the village, wood burning stove. First floor, 2 good sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other is a king. Superb bathroom with walk in shower, WC and basin.
Grassington has a starring role as the fictional market town of Darrowby in the most recent, very popular TV series of James Herriot’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. The cobbled market square is fringed by independent artisan shops, art galleries, and convivial cafés serving delicious, homemade fare. Great pubs and restaurants focus their menus on locally sourced, seasonal produce. The area has something for everyone: scenic walks and cycling routes for all levels; visitor attractions such as the fascinating Stump Cross Caverns; and Coldstones Cut - an outdoor sculpture which commands spectacular views. For the kids highlights include The Forbidden Corner, Billy Bob’s Parlour and Hesketh Farm, to name just a few. Skipton with its castle and bustling market is approximately 15 minutes drive, and the cosmopolitan spa town of Harrogate is less than an hour away.
Pet friendly: 1 small or medium sized well behaved dog.
Parking is available on the roadside in front of the property, not private to the property. Bedlinen and towels are provided, and there is excellent WIFI throughout.
