Apartment was as advertised and was in a great location. However, the check-in process was a train wreck. Prior to the trip I clarified that the check-in time was 2 pm as opposed to 2 am as advertised in the listing. I was assured for weeks of the 2 pm check-in time. Imagine my surprise when I went to the key pickup location at 2:45 and was told the key wasn’t there. For over an hour and a half I spent time on the phone with the apartment rental company. First they couldn’t reach the cleaner that had the keys and asked us to call back. After waiting for 30 minutes, we were told the cleaner would be at the pickup location in 15 minutes. We waited another 30 minutes and the cleaner had not shown up. At that point, we were told to go to the apartment address where the cleaning lady would provide the keys. Thankfully our Uber driver was willing to wait with us or we would have been stranded for over an hour in a not-so-great area. So that pretty much ruined the first day. 2 of the 3 showers drained slowly and it would have been nice to have manuals for the appliances (thank you Google) and a 2nd set of keys as there were 4 of us. Key requests went unnoticed as communication was non-existent until checkout. This could’ve easily been an excellent stay.
