About this property

Afallon - Six Bedroom House, Sleeps 14

Dating back to 1870, this spacious and elegantly updated period property occupies four floors, making a fabulous hideaway for up to 14 guests seeking a tranquil coastal escape in glorious surroundings. The former fishing village of Aberdaron lies close to the westernmost edge of the Llyn Peninsula, with a beautiful sandy mile-long beach and a choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs within easy reach. From the house’s garden gate, you can join the Wales Coast Path to take in the breathtaking seascapes and landscapes of this unforgettable part of North Wales. From Porth Meudwy (within a mile), you can catch a boat out to Ynys Enlli/Bardsey Island, an idyllic spot known for its wide variety of wildlife, including seals, puffins and over 300 species of birdlife. With its exceptionally dark skies, Bardsey Island is the first site in Europe to receive the International Dark Sky Sanctuary certification, joining just 16 other sites worldwide. Back on the mainland, other attractions include Porth Neigwl, Plas yn Rhiw and the Plas Glyn y Weddw Gallery, all within 12 miles.
Entering this bright and stylishly updated house, the traditional lounge offers a warm welcome, with an open fire, comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a piano. The beautifully equipped kitchen has plenty of storage and workspace and leads through to a charming dining room with a very large custom-made oak table, perfect for family get-togethers and celebrations. The ground floor also has a light-filled garden room with panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, along with a deck leading out to the garden, the perfect place to relax and soak up the views after a busy day exploring the area. There is also a children’s playroom with a TV and a range of toys and games to keep the little ones occupied. Heading downstairs, the basement has been converted into a games room with a pool table, table tennis table, a smart speaker, and ample seating, perfect for younger guests. The property has six spacious, light and relaxing bedrooms: four on the first floor, a cheerful king-size with stunning sea views, a large twin also with sea views, and two triple rooms with full-size single beds. Heading up to the second floor, there are two further large twin rooms. The accommodation also offers a bathroom, a lovely shower room and an additional separate WC.
Outside, the beautiful, fully enclosed, landscaped gardens feature expansive lawns perfect for playing football or cricket, or for lazing in the sun. A few steps lead down to a delightful patio with outdoor furniture, providing a wonderful spot for dining alfresco using the built-in brick BBQ. You can also relax on the deck outside the garden room and admire the views. Parking is available for four cars on the driveway, and there is also space in the garage for bicycles and up to 2 cars.
