Best location, right in the center of Madrid! In the famous "Barrio de las Letras" - the literary neighborhood. Beautiful, clean apartment with lots of light in a historic building with elevator. Centrally-located with short walking distance (<10 mins) to all the major museums, Plaza Mayor, Royal Place, Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, Parque del Retiro, Atocha train station, etc. This apartment is facing a beautiful and peaceful courtyard. You will love the apartment and our location! This is a beautiful apartment on a very popular street in Madrid, right by Plaza de Santa Ana in the Barrio de las Letras - where Cervantes was born. It's in a beautiful, historic building that has been remodeled and is all new inside with a modern elevator. We are also surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. The apartment is a studio with a queen size bed and has 3 different areas. A book shelf separates the living room from the bed. It looks into a courtyard and has 2 big windows that provide lots of light. Full kitchen with all the basics and a dining table that sits 4. I have had many guests and most of them, when they arrive, say that it looks just like the pictures. We have modern appliances (washer, stovetop, microwave, A/C, TV, refridgerator), fast Wi-Fi, and everything else you may need for a comfortable stay! Guests will have private access to the whole apartment. I like to make myself available for my guests. I also give them my phone number and they can always reach me in case they need something or have any questions. The apartment is in the Barrio de las Letras, "The Literary District" right in the Historic part of Town. You can walk everywhere: to the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia, the Thyssen, the Parque del Retiro, the Plaza Mayor and many other interesting places. There is so much to do in Madrid! There is a metro station less than 5 minutes walking. There is a taxi stand right at the corner of the street. The nearest public parking garage is "Parking de Santa Ana," right underneath the plaza around the corner from our street. From the AIRPORT to the apartment: TAXI: From the airport by taxi, it's about 30 minutes and it costs 30 euros. It's a flat fee into the city. This would be the easiest and fastest way. TRAIN (Cercanías): If you arrive to T4, you can take the direct train (cercanías) to atocha, the C1 line. BUS: No matter what terminal you arrive to, you can take the Yellow Express Airport Bus that takes you to the Atocha Train Station. From ATOCHA Train Station to the apartment: TAXI: From the Atocha Train Station, it's a very short taxi ride, around 5-10 minutes. If you decide to walk, it's about 15 minutes. METRO: From the Atocha Train Station, you can take the metro to Antón Martín, which is 2 stops away. From there, it's less than 3 minutes walking to the apartment. We look forward to hosting you! Check in is between 1pm and 9pm and check out is at 11am. We want to avoid late check ins to ensure peace and quiet for my neighbors, as I want to respect them. We always try to make it easy for our guests! We meet each guest in-person when first checking in. If guests arrive early, we can keep your bags in the building while you explore the city. We understand that sometimes flights can get delayed - if this happens and guests arrive after 9pm, I would kindly ask you to give Alicia or Nisbeth 30 euros, as a thank you for staying up late. Please note that this doesn’t apply if you book a flight that you know in advance lands late in the evening. Gracias!
