A very clean and well equipped property in an excellent location!
Very clean, well equipped and welcoming apartment - perfect for our family holiday.
3 spacious bedrooms, 2 sharing a balcony overlooking the beach and sea.
The living room has a separate balcony and being on the 4th floor also offers wonderful beach and sea views, there was always something to watch.
Ideally located to access the long wide sandy beach of St Georges, with town centre bars, bakers, restaurants and U Express only a short walk away.
No issues experienced with on street parking despite it being the height of the season.

Beach apartment with stunning views
The apartment was a good base for our week's holiday at Saint-Georges-de-Didonne. It was spacious, clean and well-equipped. As in the description, the apartment is used by the owners and has more personal items than usual in a holiday let. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast and lunch on the balcony with its stunning views. The apartment is only a short walk from the village centre and its indoor market selling a fantastic range of foods. In the evenings we ate at the various restaurants around the village square and enjoyed the entertainment there. As well as the beach just across the road, we hired boards and spent a great day at one of the Atlantic beaches up the coast from Royan. We also visited the pretty village of Talmont and took the ferry from Royan to the Medoc and enjoyed visiting the wine growing areas there. Micheline, the owner, was very helpful throughout, even sendng us an annotated town plan after booking and being available via email during our holiday if necessary. The caretaker of the building was also available and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate recommending this apartment and the location.
Lovely apartment, excellent location.
Lovely well equipped, clean apartment, right on the beach, we loved the easy access to the beach and the amenities. If you don't want to use the car you don't have to, lovely walks around the area, we walked into Royan and out to the lighthouse. We did drive to the zoo which was well worth a visit, probably the best zoo we have been to. We were lucky enough to watch the fantastic firework display from our balcony. The children loved the fact there was always something going on, with market stalls on the prom, a sand sculpturer working all week, being able to just cross the road and go for a swim anytime.
Relaxation at its best
My Wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week in St George Di Didonne. The view from the apartment balcony is wonderful exactly as it is pictured. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. It does front onto a main road but there is very little traffic noise at night. Parking was no problem either. There is plenty to see and do in the area. We are already planning our return Visit. Micheline & Philip were most helpful.
Our June Holiday touring the West Coast of France
We spent our middle week of three in this apartment for our June holiday 2010. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is also very spacious and on two levels giving the feeling that it is a house rather than an apartment. The view from both balconies is exceptional overlooking the most beautiful beach and although the complex borders the main coast road there is little or no noise from traffic because it is set back behind well laid out gardens.
Saint-Georges is a pleasant small holiday resort attractively laid out with extensive floral displays.
Situated beside a large sheltered bay and a pine forest at the mouth of the river Gironde, the village is just south of Royan.
The residence stands in its own grounds which give directly onto the beach and the sea and the town centre with its daily market is 5 minutes' walk away. A car is therefore not necessary for shopping.
There is a large sandy beach with safe bathing and activities for children.
Royan, 5 minutes drive away and also connected by bus, is the local centre, with a good selection of shops and a superb fish and general food market, a large marina and activities for all ages.
La Rochelle and Bordeaux are each about an hour's drive away. The Bordeaux vineyards are within easy reach as is the Dordogne area. Charente is known for seafood, Cognac and Pineau (local aperitif).
Details of interesting chateaux, Romanesque churches and old fortified towns to visit are in the apartment, together with the addresses of good local restaurants.
Other Activities: Children's beach clubs, sand-yachting (not available in July/August)
Golf: The ROYAN GOLF CLUB (18 holes), 20 minutes drive from the apartment, is located in the Forêt de la Coubre, close to the sea.
