Tucson Foothills Pool Home - Midcentury Modern Retreat

The home was designed by architect Arthur T Brown. This is an authentically furnished and detailed to reflect the early 1960’s Midcentury style.

There are floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The kitchen has all modern amenities and is completely equipped. The sunsets and the twinkling lights of downtown Tucson are a highlight of the day. There is a large heated private pool and extensive outdoor spaces with brand new premium furnishings and umbrellas. The neighborhood is naturally landscaped which is wonderful for a morning hike. There are two National parks within 15 minutes from the property. Sabino Canyon and Saguaro National Forest are not to be missed. Tucson has an extensive paved bike trail that loops around the city and is a great way to see Tucson. Shopping and restaurants are close by and offer a wide variety of options. This is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty and recreational opportunities in the Tucson area.

Wonderful ATB house

The home was spectacular! Everything was perfection- gorgeous outdoor space, heated pool, pots of snapdragons, well equipped kitchen, great record collection, impressive artwork ( Cocteau-wow!), comfy beds, flowers and sparkling water to greet us. Top notch! We would definitely book again

1950s Tucson house

Great house, plenty of space with several areas to hangout and entertain. Well stocked with supplies, serving ware. Cool mid century touches everywhere. Just as advertised. Property management quite helpful. Would stay again.

Amazing House!

We had a fabulous stay at this amazing property! The hosts were wonderful and surprised us with flowers and bubbly to help us celebrate our anniversary! The property manager welcomed us and was quick to help with any questions we had. Loved the outdoor vibe and atmosphere, which was our favorite part of the property. The location was great and close to great hiking spots. Overall such a great property that I'd highly recommend.

We are Dan and Lynn. We have been vacationing in Tucson and rented this house since 2014. The previous owners are Dear long time friends and we asked to be first on the list if they decided to sell. So here we are. We live in Milwaukee, WI and Dan is a Business executive in energy conservation and Lynn owns a Design and Build Firm. We have six adult kids and two precious granddaughters. The picture in this profile is of us enjoying a prickly pear margarita at our favorite Cantina in Tucson.

Why they chose this property

This property is your own private home while you are renting. We have a property manager, Bill, who lives a mile away and a full staff of folks if anything should go wrong. It is minutes away from Sabino Canyon and close to Saguaro National Forest as well as golfing, every sort of dining and recreational activity you desire. Biking enthusiasts love to rent this property due to the many trails, easy and difficult in the Tucson area. We bought it because we are Midcentury Modern Architecture and furnishings. It turns out the architect Arthur T Brown was a pioneer in passive solar design. Check him out if you are interested.

What makes this property unique

We are located in the Catalina Foothills in a naturally landscaped private neighborhood. You are also minutes away from grocery stores, pharmacies, a high end outdoor mall air you even feel like leaving the property! It’s the best of both worlds. The yard is professionally maintained to keep the natural desert plantings looking amazing. At night there is beautiful landscape lighting around the home and yard. Sitting outside with a cocktail watching the sunsets and the lights of downtown Tucson is our favorite way of ending the day. There is a fireplace should you desire it.
