SEMI-SOUNDFRONT Salvo - Turtle Ct. Your family will fall in love with CALYPSO, a beautiful home with community sound access. The first level has two bedrooms, one queen and one with a pyramid bunk that share a hall bath - both with TVs. Also on this level is a large game room with pool table, TV/DVD, stereo/CD, and wet bar with refrigerator. Step out to the deck and patio with your private swimming pool and hot tub. There is also a laundry room on this level. The mid level has four bedrooms, all with TVs, and access to decks and porches with gorgeous sound views. The king room and one queen room are masters, and the second queen room and twin room share a hall bath. Upstairs the large, open great room welcomes you with sound view and TV/DVD stereo system. The dining area has lots of windows to frame splendid Pamlico Sound views. The great room and dining areas open to decks and a covered porch. The well-equipped kitchen has plenty of counter space and opens to another covered porch and deck. You'll also find another king master suite with TV on this level. CALYPSO will hold your heart captive and you’ll yearn to return year after year. (Fireplace seen in pictures is not available for guest use.)

Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Could be better

The views were great and we loved the pool & the amount of space! The cleanliness could be better, the vents need to be cleaned and the couch is kinda gross honestly. With such a big house we really were disappointed with the tiny park sized charcoal grill with no cover, plan on starting it early if you want dinner to be done at a decent time. The first level is kind of hard to enjoy with kids at night as they’re right above (or on the same level) as the pool table and it gets loud (just something to consider) with no door to close from that level to the next, but it was nice to have the extra fridge downstairs and we all really enjoyed these extras in the house. The kitchen was stocked well with plates/cups/silverware/cooking utensils and the double dishwasher was perfect! The neighborhood was close enough to stores to get items we needed, you could even bike! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Great for bike rides and the sunsets over the sound were incredible. This isn’t the most updated property (bedding, furniture) but it was the right amount of space we needed together for our two families (9). There truthfully could have been a little more attention to detail, but at OBX the waves and rays are what we come for!

We enjoyed our stay overall. Only couple things would have made it perfect, the nails popped up around the pool and porches were safety concern. Comfort the mattresses could use an upgrade.

Great house with lots of stairs

Great place. Not so clean and satellite TV was a pain. In need of repairs nails and screws sticking out of decking. Smells musty.

Great family rental

The house was perfect for our family of 4 children, 4 in-laws and 3 grand babies. There was plenty of room for visiting and staying “socially isolated” since our vacay was in the middle of the pandemic. It allowed us to be together while providing us enough space to spend time alone. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any house I’ve ever rented. The pool was a nice amenity since we had 3 u dear the age of 2. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a large home. The only complaint I have is that the house cleaning was not that great. Walls and blinds in the kitchen/dining area looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in some time. The upstairs master had dust standing on bed frame and cobwebs covering one wall. Other than the less than spectacular cleaning, I still would recommend.

Family friendly home

Nice location for a large group. Plenty of space with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Lack of garbage disposal made kitchen clean up a little more difficult. TVs in all rooms, but only 3 worked. Internet service was not great. Pool, hot tub and use of bikes were awesome. Beach access was challenging located far from the house. Many ants noted in all the rooms toward the end of our stay. Overall, we had a great week and highly recommend Calypso.
