About this property

Welcome to IttaBena Lodge, which means 'a cabin in the woods' where family and friends meet in Choctaw Indian Language. Situated right on the waters of Mountaintown Creek, one of North Georgia's premier trout streams, this cabin is full of rustic charm and character. Since we are located on a protected trout stream, while fishing on our property... fly fishing, catch and release, barbless hooks and no live bait are part of the house rules.

This authentic log home is located within a gated 45 acre retreat. It is one of only 7 cabins within the boundaries surrounded by nature. It is fully equipped with everything.

You'll find the environment quite enchanting and it is the perfect get-away for a romantic weekend, or a gathering place with family and friends. Enjoy a star filled night by the outdoor firepit directly by the river.

Special cabin on the river

We loved our time at this special cabin. What a gorgeous spot to make sweet memories. We loved the layout and amenities of the cabin, but the location on the river is where we spent most of our time… fishing, reading, playing, talking. It was wonderful. So grateful for this place and our time together as a family. The owners were great communicators and we had everything we needed for the perfect vacation!

Absolutely Perfect!

We had such an amazing time and are already planning a return. Everything was perfect! Very clean, well maintained property with everything we could need. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Outside is so incredibly relaxing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!

River Side

This lovely property was situated on the river! Our grandkids enjoyed looking for river creatures, playing in the ankle-knee deep water and running and hiking around the house. S’mores and marshmallows were enjoyed at the firepit and watching tv in the morning downstairs by their room were all their favorite things to do here! Adults enjoyed doing all these things too! The bedrooms had plenty of room and everything you may need. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner on the big porch. Grandkids made name tags for all the family along with rocks to hold them down ! As you can see families will enjoy this place! And… the gravel roads and houses a long the way didn’t bother us at all Apple Orchards, petting zoos, wineries, playgrounds and restaurants weren’t far away to us! You can find a Dollar General and little grocery/gas station without having to go into town. (Added bonus was having direct tv so you could watch sports etc without having to deal with all those streaming services). Thanks for a nice trip!
