We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful facility. I can say enough about the beautiful setting. The room was clean, pleasant ant very quiet. I would highly recommend to anyone planning to stay in Haines. It is a few miles out but well worth the drive.

This is an outstanding property if you value peace, comfort and beautiful scenery. Randa manages every little detail to perfection. The beds are very comfy, there are plenty of towels, the kitchenette comes with a real coffee pot and real coffee. And the view? If you enjoy the essence of sanctuary you’ll find it here. I highly recommend this experience!
Room was great! We fly fished in the Chilkoot just below the cabins and then jumped in the hottub afterward, then cooked our fish on the shared outside grill. We requested a filet knife and voila!.. Two eagles live there so they were always around. Great view, relaxing. Too early for bear but great spot. Rental car is a must be we hopped around onto highway, bought groceries in town. Frankly eating at the cabin a couple of days vs renting a car equals out in price…. Hope to come back during bear and salmon season! Slept really well too.

Unfortunately we were not lucky enough to see the bears but the view alone is worth staying here! We saw tons of eagles as well just soaring about waiting for the salmon. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Our favorite place in/near Haines. Amazing views from the room and porch, easy access to Chilkoot park/lake and it's quiet/relaxing. About 9 miles from downtown Haines but it's an easy, beautiful drive. The property is clean, well kept and in a perfect location.
We loved our stay at this location. Sue and her family were very friendly and accommodating. They bent over backwards to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. The view of the river under us was priceless. We would have no problem booking this location again (and we do plan on doing so).
I could have just arrived and not left the patio of this property and been happy. Just a gorgeous place to stay. I saw Brown Bears and eagles fishing daily. The river is gorgeous and if you enjoy fly fishing there isn't a better spot. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
