The Evergreen Ranch House, by Arington Adventures, offers a unique, beautiful and secluded retreat. Located off the beaten path, on a 600 acre award winning tree farm, in South Central Wisconsin. The home offers 6 luxury appointed bedrooms, and 4 full bathrooms. It accommodates 14 people comfortably. The Evergreen Ranch, in a previous life, was home to a thriving horse ranch. We are still able to accommodate several horses in an adjoining barn and paddock during your stay. (ask about our rate for horse boarding)

A large private backyard offers the perfect setting for bird watching, bocce ball, or singing songs around a fire.

The property is 5 miles from downtown Cambridge and 25 miles to the Capitol Square in downtown Madison.

Cambridge, Wisconsin, is one of the best kept secrets in the state, for outdoor recreational opportunities. In fact, one of the most technical single-track off-road mountain bike trails is located just south of Cambridge, in CamRock Park.

CamRock Park also offers hiking, birding, and in the winter, cross county skiing and sledding.

Cambridge is also home to Lake Ripley, a wonderful lake, perfect for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, or simply a day of swimming and relaxation on the beach. Downtown there are specialty shops, multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and the Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

Madison, home of the UW Badgers, and one of the greatest Farmers' Markets around, is a short 20 minutes away from the property.

The restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and outdoor experiences are endless.

Or, spend a day at the water parks in Wisconsin Dells (1 hour drive); or shop 'til you drop in Chicago (2 hour drive), and then return to the Evergreen Ranch to rest and recharge.

Amazing stay for large family

We had a large group sleep here (9) and the property was very accommodating. Lots of outdoor space and plenty of room for a large dinner of 20. Communication was easy and I highly recommend this place for large groups.

Family wedding weekend

Everything about our stay was great! We had a home away from home for our son’s wedding. The house and the outdoor space was perfect for everyone…adults to small kids. It was everything we hoped for!

So Relaxing

Property and home are both beautiful. The home was stocked to anticipate our every desire: Games for both outside and inside, colored pencils for the kiddos, ping pong, coffee, blankets to snuggle in on the couch, tables in the garage to put out a buffet style picnic, extra fridge- and of course the cute little goats-I could go on and on. The beds were comfortable, the areas spacious and appreciated no neighbors. We were in Wisconsin for a wedding in Madison. Only about an tighten minute drive away. Want to just enjoy family. Book this gem.

Family reunion

Gettleman family vacation 2024

We had a wonderful time at the farm in Deerfield Wisconsin. The location was beautiful and the house was just perfect for our family of 13 including 5 kids and 8 adults! We had lots of fun feeding the goats and going in the hottub and playing frisbee golf and having a fire in the fire pit and eating s’mores. I would highly recommend

Beautiful Retreat!

We loved everything about this house! It was perfect for our extended family that included several grandparents. 2 main level bedrooms helped with those with some limited mobility. We will definitely return when in the area!

Fantastic Place

We came to Madison for the Crossfit Games and we had as large group because my son was competing. This place was great. We loved the location (20 minutes away), and the peaceful farming area, The house is beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable as well. It was a great stay. Thank you!

Family vacation

Our family of our 4 adult children, along with 4 grandchildren (ages 5,4,1.5, 6 months) stayed here in late July. It was absolutely perfect for us! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was a hit with the grandkids. We used the firepit, fed the goats, played bucket golf (we brought this game) on the large yard area. It was well stocked, and the manager kept us informed and answered any questions we had. We had a great time in Wisconsin, with this wonderful place as our base. Would definitely stay here again! It is a beautiful place, well thought out, clean and modern.

Cozy Wisconsin getaway!

My family and I recently stayed at this property as a getaway from Chicago. From the onset, the check in process was smooth and the house was so cozy and clean! The house is spacious and decorated impeccably! The owners truly have thought of everything from snacks to toothbrushes to make you feel like you’re in a home away from home. Excellent country home!

This was our second time staying at the house. It is exceptional. Very clean with great amenities, including large firepit area, hot tub, wifi, etc. The property is beautiful with walking trails and it's very secluded. There is virtually no noise from any road traffic. Only a 25-30 minute drive to downtown Madison. I highly recommend renting this property for a long weekend or longer.

Ironman Wisconsin

My family and I stayed here during Ironman weekend. You could not ask for a better more relaxing property prior to a race. Our children played with the goats and ran around while we enjoyed the beautiful fall in Wisconsin. Short 20 minute drive to Madison to enjoy the capital. Home is furnished beautifully and we cannot wait to go back soon!

Best week ever for our exceeded family of 11. Lots of family fun. The house is the absolute best vrbo we have ever stayed in. Super clean, fully stocked, and wonderfully decorated for the holidays. Relax on the ranch

We had two families with 4 and 7 year old children. It was a phenomenal experience and place to stay. The whole stay was just easy, relaxing, cozy, and fun! The house is incredibly clean and well appointed. The goats were so much fun and the patio was full of entertaining games and activities. We can’t wait to come back!! This is an exceptionally well furnished and decorated home with excellent amenities. Great communication with the hosts, who contacted us during the stay to make sure there were no issues or questions. This is by far the most well-furnished and appointed house we've every found on VRBO. It was the perfect size for our family Christmas. The furnishings and amenities are very high quality, and the house is stocked with anything you could need. This is a perfect location for family gatherings.

Beauty and Comfort beyond Expectations

My sisters and myself were immensely pleased with this beautiful home. Here are just a few reasons why! Wonderful!

We couldn't be more pleased and delighted with our stay here. I reached out several time before arriving with a few questions, and Rachel always replied quickly. Upon arrival I was stunned by how truly beautiful the home and grounds were. The kitchen is amazingly well-stocked, and the common area rooms are clean, comfortable and very inviting. Enjoyed the hot tub, the goats, and the trails on the property. Bedrooms were lovely, spacious, and the bedding delightful. Honestly, we were so impressed -- better than I could have imagined. Rachel even came to our rescue when we found ourselves in need of some extra folding tables, and drove them over immediately. We couldn't have been happier here. A perfect setting for our family to gather as we celebrated my daughter's wedding at the Cambridge Winery, just a mere 10 minutes away. I would return in a heartbeat!!

Outstanding Week

Family of 8 adults and 4 children travelled to rural Wisconsin, east of Madison, for a weeklong reunion. The Evergreen Ranch is located in a secluded area on a small hill with a farm yard just below. We were surprised and pleased with the accommodations, which include 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, nice kitchen and eating areas, several indoor and outdoor gathering areas with activity items provided, a hot tub, nearby hiking trails, and close proximity to Madison with a number of university town activities. The highlight, particularly for the children, was feeding baby goats with Rachel, who is the caretaker. As a family, we have been to a number of vacation rentals. This is the first one to which we may schedule a repeat vacation in the future. Thank you to Joe Arrington and Rachel for providing a great spot and experience.
