About this property

La Fontanella is a short 200 meter walk from the historic center of medieval hamlet Celle Sul Rigo. The villa sits on a 300 tree olive orchard over looking the magnificent Tuscan countryside. The country house is equipped with a full kitchen, including dishwasher, washing machine, digital television, wifi, and air conditioning. The garden has a barbecue grill, lots of firewood, a fire pit, comfy outdoor furniture, an herb garden, fruit trees, and fenced space for your pet to run as we are pet friendly. The property is a stand alone villa with private parking. The nearest neighbor is 100 meters down the lane and across the creek. La Fontanella is the perfect home base for day trips to other Tuscan villages, as well as being a relaxing hideaway just steps from town. We are a short 5 minute drive from San Casciano Dei Bagni and the famous Fonteverde Spa and Resort, open to the public daily.

Wunderschön - gerne wieder :-)

Erin und Luca sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Umgebung ist einfach umwerfend und absolut ruhig. Das kleine Städchen ist allerding weit ab vom Schuss. Wir empfehlen schon vorab in einem Supermarkt einzukaufen. Aber das ist kein Mangel. Ist halt ländlich.

A marvelous stay!

The property was "heavenly"! The views are incredible. The exterior and interior are "A1"! The kitchen is well supplied as is the bathroom and the rest of the house. There is plenty of room to "stretch out" and the light that comes in from outdoors is ample and pleasant. Every room has a view, including the bathroom. Sitting out side at the various tables, chairs, benches, etc. is out of this world. The walk into town is a 4 minute stroll where you will find a butcher, a baker, a barber shop, outstanding restaurant, church and above all, friendly locals.

Amazing

In a beautifull landscape with a beautiful view there is this perfekt little two -room-cottage with complet equipment for every Situation. The dog can run all day in this complett fenced grand Garden. We liked to stay here and love it. But remember: nearly no TV, no Radio, no attractions in Celle (accepted Taverna la Pace), and the next Supermarket is 30min driving. But perfect for chilling

Liebevoll eingerichtete Haus, sehr sauber ! Sehr schöner großer Garten. Man kann draußen sitzen und Frühstücken, einfach herrlich. Es ist sehr ruhig. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an Erin und Luca ❤️

Luca and Erin fell in love with the medieval hamlet of Celle Sul Rigo during a visit on their honeymoon 20 years ago. After spending many years in the restaurant business in Erin's home state of Texas in the US, the Scordaris moved back to Luca's homeland and purchased La Fontanella Country House , a vacation rentals in Celle Sul Rigo. They spend their time making wine and olive oil and enjoying the healthy Tuscan lifestyle.

Why they chose this property

Because it is truly one of the most peaceful, breathtakingly beautiful places we have ever been. The scent of lavender in the evening as you sit out by the fire pit or watch the fire flies and the stars is really the stuff of movies. We enjoy so much sharing it with others.
