The Cabin
This cabin is nestled ¼ mile South of White Potato Lake on Parkway Road.
Our cabin has a master bedroom, a smaller bedroom, a full service kitchen, a sun room, and a deck. The cabin was remodeled in 2017, with new appliances. The cabin has multiple forms of heat to ensure you stay warm and cozy during the cold northern nights. Main heat is a heat pump system that doubles as an air conditioner during the hotter summer days. In addition to the heat pump there is a gas fireplace that is big enough to heat the cabin by itself. Then in the bedrooms and the bathroom is a radiant heater to make sure you stay warm even with the doors closed.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with shelving to place your suitcases and/or bags on to be readily accessible. The smaller bedroom has a double bed with similar shelving for your clothes. There is also two sleeper sofas in the living area.
The kitchen/dining area is well equipped with whatever you may need to prepare your meals and enjoy yourself - freezer/refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, etc.
On two sides of the cabin is a deck equipped with a charcoal grill for your use with a fire pit in the back yard that also has a grill.
Recreation:
The White Potato Lake is a full-service lake allowing people to enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, and fishing. North ¼ mile is a boat landing with a sandy gentle-sloping beach. Each year the DNR, with the help of the local sportsman's club, plant perch, walleyes, and even muskellunge in the lake.
The cabin is also ideally located for access to four-wheeler trails. The cabin is located on Parkway Road which allows for four-wheeler traffic. Drive your four-wheeler to the north side of White Potato Lake where there is access to the Oconto County four-wheeling trail system with miles of trails and sights to see.
Activities do not stop when the snow flies. White Potato Lake fishing continues when the ice comes with a fishing derby sponsor by the local sportsman's club on the third weekend in January. Across Parkway from the cabin is a snowmobile trail that runs north and south along Parkway providing access to the miles of snowmobile trails in northern Wisconsin.
Relaxation:
Probably the best part of your stay at the cabin will be the relaxation you will enjoy.
Get up before everyone else in the early morning and take your cup of coffee on the deck or sunroom and watch the sunrise. Although close to the activity of White Potato Lake, the cabin is isolated!
Other notes:
