About this property

Large one bedroom apt one block from central park 30 DAY MINIMUM RENTAL

The apartment is located in one of the best neighborhoods of Manhattan. Within walking distance to Central Park, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Natural History and subway stations. A peaceful, relaxing neighborhood close to all of the best in NYC. Restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, supermarkets, laundromats, and pharmacies all within two blocks.

This one bedroom apartment is located on West 69th Street between Columbus Ave and Broadway in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and linens are provided. The apartment is approximately 525 square feet. The apartment is a up two flights of stairs in an historic brownstone building. The unit is equipped with cable TV and internet access.

Sleeps two adults comfortably on a queen sized bed and can accommodate an additional person on the couch or air mattress.

Other apartments in the building are occupied by long-term tenants, some who have lived in their apartments for over twenty years. It is a quiet building and not a place to stay if you want to party and play loud music. I own the building and use the unit with my family when we visit the city.

There is no elevator. Great place to live and easy access to any part of the city by subway. We have 2 other units in the same building, if you have a group of people - inquire about multiple units. This unit is recently listed, for reviews on a similar apartment in the building see VRBO #328349, we have been renting that unit on VRBO for almost ten years

Another Great Stay in NYC.
Barry’s apt is perfectly located for anything you could want to do in NYC. Restaurants. Walking. Central Park. Theatre. Transportation. Compact kitchen checks all the boxes. Already reserved again later this year.

It has it all!!
We could not have asked for a better place during our one month stay in NYC. Let's start with the location! A block from central park, blocks from restaurants, Trader Joes, entertainment!!!! I was also pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment. It was larger than I expected and fit 3 of us very comfortably. Barry was an excellent host who gave me all the information I needed for a quick and easy check in. He replied very quickly with any questions or concerns I had throughout the stay. I highly recommend Barry's apartment and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Heart of Upper West Side
This small but comfortable apartment made for an excellent stay on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. In addition to the friendly and always quickly responsive long-distance host/owner, Barry--he responded practically instantly when the power went out one early morning--the place is distinguished by its location, location, and location. One block from the 69th Street entrance to Central Park; three blocks from Lincoln Center; three blocks in the other direction to the 72nd Street and Broadway subway station, it's located where you want to be in this part of the city and an easy transit point to most everywhere else. Unclear from the description when I booked a couple of months ago was a helpful additional desk in front of the living room windows--perfect for Zoom meetings--and an additional couch/trundle bed in the same living room for additional guests. You won't want to cook gourmet meals in the small kitchen (not that you'll need to given nearby restaurants and delis, including Zabar's). The bathroom is even tighter, and subject to old plumbing (the building was built circa 1900, and relies on old infrastructure: the windows, now housing small air conditioner units, for example, are screenless and can't be opened to fresh air). But everything else in and about the place exceeded expectations. I'd gladly book another month or more.
