About Liz or Nick Leeds
I was born and educated in Gloucester. Much of my childhood was spent in the lovely village of Sandhurst. I attended the Cental Technical School in Gloucester and on leaving school went to Great Yarmouth to work in a restaurant for the summer season and then retuned to Gloster and worked the rest of the year at the Fleece Hotel. Later I went into sales and eventually started a business selling freezers and frozen food.( Home Refrigeration Co. Ltd.) with 3 shops. Brockwoth, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. In 1976 I sold the business and bought a hotel in Boscastle, Cornwall and 6 years later was able to buy a beautiful, but run down manor-house type property, perched on the cliffs, with 15 Acres of gardens and woods and fabulous sea views After 23 wonderful years we decided to retire. It was discovered that I had an aneurism on my aorta. Major heart surgery saved my life and it was this close call, on top of a few others I had experienced, that convinced me the time had come to retire. We sold the Hotel business and bought a house near Wadebridge , which we also let out for holidays when we are not there. We had already bought the villa the year earlier and found we could let it out for holidays quite easily. We found that the clients fell in love with it and come back year after year. We spend as much time as we can there (It is our home as well) and are making improvements and refurbishing regularly . We also employ people to maintain the pool throughout the year and Maria (a lovely Spanish lady) and her son Roy to look after things and do the cleaning etc. so we don't make a fortune out of it but we love it and think you will too.
Liz or Nick Leeds purchased this Villa in 2004
Why Liz or Nick Leeds chose Teguise
We started visiting Lanzarote around 1990 and became regular visitors because it is one of the few places that you can visit in the winter and be pretty sure of some sunshine. Being in the hotel business, we could only take holidays in the winter. When we made the decision to retire we decided to purchase a property here so that we could spend our winters here and the rest of the year in our home in Cornwall. We spent months looking and viewed over 30 villas with pools. Oasis de Nazaret is considered to be one of the most desirable areas to live and when we viewed Otra Aventura the decision was made easy for us. The spectacular views, the lovely big pool, the privacy, the charm of the traditional spanish design and the lovely big garden all played there part. Having really nice walks nearby and seeing Hoopoes in the garden also helped! The other reason besides the property was the situation. Only 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from a great beach and pretty central to the whole Island. We saw some nice properties in Playa Blanca but felt it was too commercial, very built up and too far out to be able to visit other areas of the Island easily.

Rest ,peace and quiet
Felt like home, three weeks of peace, loved everything.
So clean when we arrived, the weather wasn’t wonderful, which was a shame.
Thank you John for the 5 star review, it's a shame the weather wasn't 5* as well but it sounds as if you enjoyed it. Thanks for choosing our villa and we hope you decide to return next year.
Regards to you all,
Beautiful and superbly equipped house, home from home
Everything you might wish for - terrific location for exploring the island, house with everything from a _properly_ equipped kitchen (so rare in holiday rentals) to genuinely comfortable beds (we're fussy about that); solar heating on the pool really works, esp. by the end of the day. What were the flaws? Hmmm … I'm struggling here … OK, the parking is a bit awkward? Other than that you'd struggle to do better!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

Nicks house is beautiful. It has all the home comforts you could possibly need. Extreemly clean. Very welcoming on arrival with all the necessities to get you through the first day, bread, butter, milk etc and of course not forgetting the wine. We will definitely go back.
Thanks for that Heather. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and will look forward to hearing from you when you are ready to return.

Awesome villa of the very highest quality
Having spent the previous week in a villa in the south of the island with all our family. We treated ourselves to a quieter week in an attempt to recover .We could not have chosen a better villa and location. The peace and tranquillity were second to none, and the villa had everything and more that we wanted. Situated in the hills with awe inspiring views, yet with in easy distance of much of the island that we wanted to visit.
The only downside is that we had to leave. But rest assured we will be back.
What a fabulous villa! From the Welcome Pack on arrival, this villa has everything you need!
We have just enjoyed a week's Easter break at this lovely villa in Nazaret. The view from the pool is fab and we enjoyed being able to relax poolside or in the very sheltered sunken terrace. Just perfect!
The owners have taken care to ensure that everything you need is here so the villa really is like home from home. We found Nick and Liz to be great hosts and quick to respond to our queries.
A hire car would be advisable so you can get out and explore - but chilling by the pool and admiring the view is very pleasant too!
This villa is highly recommended :-)
Many thanks for that Louise. We do spend a lot of time there ourselves so it really is our home from home so we are so glad that you felt it was yours too. You are so right about needing a car and we do have a very good arrangement set up for our clients to make car hire simple.
We are so glad you enjoyed you stay and hope you will return.

Oasis De Nazaret is situated quite centrally to the island so every area can be reached easily. It is a beautiful island to explore and there are many special attractions to visit. Before exploring the Island generally, you might like to explore your immediate surroundings. There are wonderful walks right on our doorstep. One of my favourite pastimes is walking and bird watching on the mountain behind the villa. Look out for the hubara bustard, hoopoe, linnets, stone curlews and the local variety of partridge. The north of the Island is particularly beautiful and a drive up to Mirador del Rio is a must. Haria is also lovely and there you will find the home of Cesar Manrique, which is worth a visit. Also in the north is El Jardin del Cactus, Jameos del Agua and the Cueva de los Verdes, all of which are brilliant. RanchoTexas, which is on the outskirts of Puerto del Carmen is also a great day out if you have children and remember to take swimming gear as they have now included a water feature. Carmen also has wonderful beaches and loads of shops restaurants and Bars and Discos for the younger visitors. Arricife Is the only big city and has a nice shopping centre and harbour. The Charco de San Gines, a natural lake, fed by the sea, is surrounded with a walk way with some good restaurants. The oldest church is nearby and also the cinema. The Timanfaya National Park is a must to visit. The unusual landscape is spectacular and to experience the heat of the volcano take the bus trip around Fire Mountain and maybe a meal in the restaurant is a memorable experience.
