About this property

Stylish and comfortable brand new apartment completely renovated in March 2018. Very spacious (64 square metres) apartment decorated with lots of love in an modern style. Repurposed furniture designed by the owner of the flat. Just behind "Agias Eirinis" square: the most trendy place in Athens. Walking distance to 3 metro stations (Monastiraki, Sintagma, Panepistimio).

Most of the objects (paintings, coffee table, other decoration) are made by the owner of the apartment. This is a small family business, the cleaning, maintenance and management of the apartment is made by 3 family members who have joined forces to overcome the problems caused by the economic crisis of the recent years in Greece.

About the host

Your host

Interior design is my hobby! All of the paintings and internal decoration that you will see have been made by myself, frequently using repurposed materials that existed when I bought this ex offices space and I converted it as a modern apartment. We are sensible when comes to sustainability, the hot water is powered exlusivey by solar panels on tge terrace of the building. I also tried to repurpose and upcycling existing material when the apartment was renovated. Some of the material and objects were not simply thrown away. It was given a new lease of life: For example the table in the living room and the wooden wall on one of the bedrooms have been made using 60 years old wooden window shutters. When creating this apartment I intended to give an industrial-vintage style which is unique, Hope you enjoy it with all the good parts and perhaps any minor imperfections :)

Why they chose this property

. This flat is located in one of the more central corners in Athens in Kolokotroni street just behind Agias Irinis square which is one of the most lively squares in the centre. And most importantly: in 15 minutes walk you can go to Acropolis temple by foot! Basically you will not need to use the subway or any car while visiting the centre. All the important places are within 10-15 minutes walk!
