About this property

This home is located 3 miles from Duck and is situated on the Currituck Sound. There is access to the canal for canoeing or kayaking. Bikes, canoe are provided. There is a small beach across the street which is a playground for small children. There is a Food Lion and Walmart nearby. Beach parking passes are provided.
This house is fully air-conditioned w/2 separate central AC units. Rental is from Sat to Sat from the first Saturday after Memorial Day through the Last Saturday before Labor Day.

Paddle the quiet serene canal and see an occasional Egret or other shore birds.

Drive or walk to the beach. Beach parking passes are provided. Play tennis and pickleball at the courts located on street leading to beach.

This, 2000 square foot house sits on a quiet wooded lot in prestigious Southern Shores. Enjoy a canoe ride on the canal or relax in a front porch rocker or hammock while watching the sunset over the sound, or just sit on the porch swing taking in the sounds of nature. Bikes, canoe, parking passes for private Southern Shore Beach, free tennis/ pickleball court and marina privileges are all included.

Across the street is a soundfront park perfect for sunset viewing and with a playground for small children.

Ground Level Features:
Two carports, outdoor shower with hot and cold water, laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. House is equipped with dual Air-Conditioning and heating systems.

First Level:
Hardwood flooring, open floor plan-living room w/ceiling fan, dining room, kitchen, bath and bedroom/(with ceiling fan). In the back is a screen porch with swing and an open deck with gas grille and glass top table. Porch has ceiling fan. Covered front porch has rocking chairs and hammock. Bed linens, kitchen, and bath towels are provided.

Top Floor:
Carpeted, Three bedrooms (one with skylight), two baths, open deck perfect for sunbathing. All but one bedroom have widescreen TV with VCR and DVD player. There is a porta crib located in closet of the bedroom with the private bath. Bed linens and bath towels are provided.

All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Family vacation

We had quite an amazing stay. The house was the perfect size for my family. We loved that the table was big enough to fit all of us for dinners. Communication with the hosts was spot on. They were great!

Relaxing Beach Stay

We loved our stay at this beautiful home just across the street from the sound . Shady and peaceful but close to anything you might want to do. The home is artful and well stocked with anything you might need.

Peaceful

The house is great and sits back in the woods giving a secluded feel. The porch swing was amazing to sit back and relax while watching all the deer. The neighborhood offers many amenities which you have access to and a perfect spot to fish just in the backyard. The house is a perfect distance to many activities and shopping! My children loved all the toys in the closet and it took me back to my childhood as well. Will stay again if we make our way back to the area
