About this property

Incredible Views, Understated Luxury

The 'Guest House on Little Mountain' is the vacation home you’ll want to return to year after year. Beautiful, comfortable décor sets just the right mood for relaxing during your mountain getaway. The cozy furnishings for reading or watching widescreen TV may make you reluctant to leave and go out exploring! Enjoy your morning coffee and evening dinner on the covered front porch, where you can observe sunsets, deer grazing, birds feeding and white squirrels robbing the bird feeders! When day fades into bedtime, you will enjoy snuggling under the unique quilts and plush comforters that define the character of each bedroom.

The back of the Guest House looks up a wooded mountainside with glimpses of a small Civil War era rock quarry. From the front porch and bedrooms, enjoy a 180+ degree view of the mountains.
On the other side of the private road from the Guest House is the old Eade Farm, which dates back to the 1800's.

The Guest House on Little Mountain is ideally located for our guests to take full advantage of all the wonderful amenities offered by the cities of Brevard, Hendersonville and Asheville. Yet it is nestled in a peaceful oasis in the Smoky Mountain countryside. The Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest recreation areas are only a short drive away.

The house is available throughout the four seasons and since it is located just down the lane from our home, we look forward to having you as our neighbors and friends.

AWD or 4x4 recommended.

Vacation on Little Mountain
The place was easy to find and large enough for the entire family. Loved being able to cook in the large kitchen instead of going out to eat all the time. The porch was a big plus and we saw deer and other forest creatures. Very clean and maintained. We enjoyed our stay and all the hiking and sightseeing.

Short mountain vacation
The location and view was perfect. There was alot of space for families. The neighborhood was quiet and a herd of deer wondered into the yard one morning.

PerfectThanksgiving Getaway
Nice home in beautiful, quiet setting. Parents from Michigan met adult child, fiance, and 2 grandchildren from Charlotte for the 4-day Thanksgiving weekend. Plenty of room for all. Great views from screened-in porch. The nearby towns of Etowah and Hendersonville offered all of the activities and conveniences we wanted.

About the host

The Guest House is located on the property where we are full time residents. Tonight I am sitting on the front porch watching an exquisite sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains. I've never been able to memorize the view because it changes constantly as the light and shadows move across the mountains. The deer were out a little earlier grazing in the tall grass. It's close to full moon so I expect we will be serenaded by the coyotes again this evening.

Why they chose this property

We built the Guest House to be a home for our parents. They were elderly and wanted it to ultimately be a vacation rental home. They wanted to be close to us and they both loved this area so much. They were both thrilled that families would someday come and take advantage of the opportunity to be out in the country and enjoy the peacefulness. Mother died two weeks after the home was completed. Daddy stayed living with us on the property but so enjoyed meeting our guests and knowing that they were enjoying his home.

What makes this property unique

The view, the quiet and the feeling of luxury are the things that most people comment on when staying in our Guest House. It sits nearly at the end of country lane which is delightful for morning and evening strolls. It's hard to get off the porch most of the time because the view is so lovely, but the inside furniture and beds are awfully cozy. Some guests say it's hard to get out of bed in the morning.
