About this property

Seven spacious, charactaristic apartments that have been tastefully and meticulously restored, located in a large farmhouse that was once a medieval Church. The farmhouse has a beautiful interior court yard, and about 50 m away is a completely renovated barn. Located south of Siena on the edge of the Crete Senesi, the property enjoys a tranquil, panoramic position inside a large farm (400 hectares) that produces wine and olive oil. Magnificent view of the countryside, characterized by the rolling hills of the Val D’Orcia and the city of Siena on the horizon. The apartments are furnished in a comfortable, rustic style. Outside, guests may use a charming, partially covered terrace (110m2) with a beautiful view.
The property can also be rented in its entirety for small groups, in which case guests may use a large, shared common room with kitchen.
Access to the property is via a 3 km unpaved but well-maintained road.
Distances: Ville di Corsano with small supermarket, restaurant/pizzeria, bar, post office, bus stop (Siena) 3,8 km away, Siena 19 km, Radda in Chianti 52 km, San Gimignano 62 km away, Arezzo 63 km, Volterra 67 km away, Florence (airport) approx. 90 km, Marina di Grosseto (beaches) 89 km away, Pisa (airport) approx. 180 km, Rome 250 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large oval swimming pool (12 x 16 m - depth 1,4 m / 1,8 m – open from 16/05 to 30/09) in a sunny, panoramic position, shower, 5 bicycles. Wi-fi internet and laundry room (outdoor) available. Covered parking within the grounds.
Extra services to be paid on the spot: Baby bed (free of charge). Maid service available upon request (€ 12,- / hour). It is possible to rent a large common room (30 people) with kitchen (large oven, dishwasher, freezer) and bathroom with shower ((price on request) accessible from outside or through apartments Donnino 1 and 5.

Wunderschöne, sehr gepflegte Anlage mit unvergleichbarem Ausblick in der Mitte der grete senesi. Wir haben als Großfamilie die ganze Anlage gebucht. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Pool ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Für unsere Bedürfnisse war die Anlage perfekt.

We had a wonderful stay at San Donnino. One of the best parts about it was the owner. He speaks excellent English and is very happy to provide information about life in Tuscany. Often when travelling you can feel that you don't understand what makes a place "tick" but being able to talk to the owner over a glass of wine gave us a great insight into this area of Italy. The property itself was very clean and spacious and the grounds and pool lovely and well cared for. The location is close to Siena and does require you to hop in the car anytime you want to go out. The property's house wine was great and very inexpensive. The only negative was that the apartment was supposed to have wifi but in reality, the only way you could get wifi was to either sit in the toilet which was the closest place to the router or to sit in the little alcove outside of where the main computer is situated. Given that my husband had to work whilst we were away, this was a bit of an inconvenience.
