Gorgeous little guest house, very clean and comfortable! Air conditioning was awesome, bbq on the deck, kitchen stocked with plates pots pans wine glasses. Provided beach chairs and umbrellas, for the beach a 5 min stroll away. Short drive to groceries and wineries and plenty of other beaches! Definitely recommend
I stayed at this vrbo with my bridesmaids for 3 nights! It is a beautiful property and we were able to take photos together prior to the ceremony under the Willow tree. It is spacious, clean, private and has every amenity that you will need! Highly recommend staying here!
We spent a week at this cute cottage in a great area of Trout Creek. We were just a few minute walk to the beach and the beautiful lake. The cottage was everything we expected and had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!
We will be back; Beautiful well appointed property
Booked for a little weekend away. Location is close to the beach; short 2-3 minute walk. 2 minute drive to Sun Oka beach where they have a beautiful dog park.
Property is excellent. Everything you need for a short or longer stay. Great little yard. Weather wasn’t warm enough to sit outside but the deck would be perfect on a hot day.
Shelley was great to deal with.
100% recommended!
Superb location and nice neighbourhood (they are really into Halloween decorations, which was a plus!)
Everything we needed for a stay with a dog. They have three friendly “Lassies” that played a bit in the yard with our pup. There is also a park (and a beach) 2 minutes away, if you have a high energy dog and need to wear them out with a ball or frisbee.
Good coffee shop 5 minute drive/20 minute walk away. We made lots of meals in house and they had everything we needed to execute them.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Walked into someone else's rental!!!
We arrived late, close to midnight. We found the address post a little difficult to understand as it's posted on the opposite side of the street to the left where the rental is on the right. We figured it out. No outside lights were on, nothing. Absolutely pitch black. Couldn't see more than a foot in front of us. Walked down the path to see the house. We walked up to it & punched in the codes only for it not to wk. My husband tried multiple times aswel but we eventually got in. Our two dogs bolted inn & the four of us did aswel. We noticed immediately that there were things left on the table & the kitchen island had dishes all over it. We then saw shoes at the front door. We immediately thought other ppl r in here so we rushed out. Put our kids & dogs back in the car. My husband & I walked back up the path to figure this out. Saw another house way off in the distant to the right so we walked over & tried the code. We got in with no problem. No shoes, no mess, this must be our place.
It was absolutely unsettling to know we walked into someone else's rental. We could barely see where we were going. If the owners have two rentals then they need to clearly identify them maybe as cottage A & B with signs pointing to which house cause they look identical. It could have been a nightmare if the other renters woke up or if my bulldog heard shuffling in a bedroom. He would have 100% attacked. I am still unsettled by all this & I find it hard to belive the owner didn't seem bothered by this one bit after I had text her what happend.
Also, the bed covers barely cover the bed. Thankfully we had brought a lg blanket with us. If we hadn't, we be cold. With two ppl in queen bed, u should have covers that overlap the bed. The cover barely overlapped.
Another HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT was they had NO COFFEE (no coffee maker of any kind) which should be the bare basics! Absolutely unheard of esp with a vrbo.
Shelley was a fantastic host, great communication and willing to work with us to accommodate exactly what we needed! When we arrived we were so pleased with the cleanliness, character and furnishings of the space. The house is a one stop stay containing everything you could need. Thanks again for a wonderful and comfortable time in summerland!
The cottage (more like a compact fully-functioning house) was very clean, convenient and private. The property is just a short walk/cycle to the excellent Douglas beach and convenient for day trips to Kelowna, Naramata etc. and on a cup de sac in a quiet neighbourhood. The house had everything we needed and is private (located on a large property with the main house). The owners were responsive but never intrusive. Highly recommended!
Very lovely totally modern home. Beautiful park and beach so close. Hubby saw a deer 🦌 right from deck. Friendly, hospitable hosts who respect your privacy. Thank you hosts. Hugs to Hobbs!
We enjoyed the Trout Creek cottage near Summerland. The hosts were helpful and responded to any needs immediately. They even supplied a teapot when we noticed that they didn’t have one.
The place is as was stated in the listing. We ate most of our meals there and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. There was more than enough space for a couple with a dog, like us for a family to stay.
The area of Trout Creek was great. We were able to walk around the community with our dog on a daily basis enjoying looking at the beautiful homes.
It was very centralized for exploring the Okanagan
A cute, elegant, and whimsical cottage in vineyard country
The cottage was the perfect getaway for our mother/daughter trip! It was super clean, brand new, spacious, and came with all the necessities n then some. I would most def recommend this place to any of my friends. More then thrilled with our stay.
We had a great stay at this Summerland cottage! The cottage is just as beautiful as the pictures. We were wine touring and this location was excellent; plus a quick 5 min walk to the beach to dip your toes in. Looking forward to our next stay!!
We rented this property for 3 days and absolutely loved everything about it. Looks better than the photos and felt at home immediately. Great location for vineyard touring and beach going. Kitchen well stocked, linens were crisp, comfortable and clean. We will book here again if coming this way.
This gorgeous guest home was perfect for our one week family getaway! We travelled with our blended family, so there were 4 adults, a 12 year old, 6 year old, 5 year old and 2 year old.
The house has everything you need for a comfortable home away from home!
The two bedrooms were gorgeous and comfortable. The kids slept on the pull out couch and a blow up mattress (that we found in one of the closets). There is a cabinet bed but we chose not to use it just because we didn't feel like moving the TV etc everyday. All linens were provided which was nice - less to pack - and there were plenty of towels and extra sheets and blankets.
The kitchen was fully stocked and clean, as were both bathrooms.
The yard and deck are large and private and we spent most of our days relaxing back there with the kids. We brought a splash pad for the kids and our propane fueled fire pit and there was plenty of space for the kids to run around and play. There was even a lawn bowling game there that the kids enjoyed!
The winery is literally next door and made for a nice getaway for the moms 👌
We spent a day at Powell Beach which is just minutes from the property. We had the beach almost to ourselves! It has a huge sandy area, trees for shade, a slide right into the lake, a playground, bathrooms, picnic tables and a swing set.
If you need to pop into a store, just 5 minutes away is a shopping centre with an IGA, a liquor store, a DQ and more.
A few things of note:
*Where you park and where the home is located on the property is a bit of a trek so we suggest bringing a wagon to help carry all of your stuff down!
*If you have young kids, there are several nick nacks and decor that we needed to hide away from the youngest 😉
Shelley was super easy to deal with and answered all my questions before and during our trip.
All in all, this cottage was the perfect spot and we absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay! We will likely return again and will recommend this spot to friends!
This is a super clean, well laid out and nicely decorated cottage. It is near the lake and a short drive to either Penticton or Summerland downtown. Beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and it feels brand new. We brought bikes and had some great rides across the highway up to the wineries and also along the lake. Summerland has a nice 18 hole golf course which is only a 15 minute drive away. Overall we were happy with the cottage. The downside to this place is that it is near the highway so during the height of summer we could hear a lot of traffic.
The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay ! Enjoyed the beach !
