Lakeside heaven
We loved our second time at this spectacular lakeside property, spending time with our adult kids. The kitchen is a great open and breezy area to congregate, very well equipped for our group. We did lots of swimming and boating off the beautiful dock, as well as biking the Kettle Valley Railway close by. Thanks Andy and Sarah, we'll look forward to hopefully being there again next year!

beautiful retreat
In addition to the house and the property being as beautiful and as private as described, the wildlife was spectacular - the resident beaver was swimming around, building his dam, lots of geese and goslings, ducks and ducklings, loons and loonlets and deer... felt like we were within a national geographic documentary. Super quiet and friendly neighbours and the house had a very well equipped kitchen for 6 people who had staggered start times. Sarah was very available for questions and definitely cared about our comfort!

Lakeside Nature Retreat
We LOVE nature and serenity. Therefore, when extending our stay in the area, we were pleased to see this unique option. It is located perfectly on Lake Okanagan next to a park. The openness of the living /kitchen area with views from every corner of the lake and mountains is stunning! Very comfy nice couch and kitchen has everything we could want for our stay. We stayed early season, but I can only imagine how great it is in summer utilizing the fantastic kayaks and paddle boards! I wish this site allowed photos! There was the biggest, cutest beaver who built a dam at the park next door-which we could see from the yard So much adorable wildlife all around!

Why they chose this property

You will feel miles away from any hustle and bustle but be able to be in the town of Summerland in 10 minutes for groceries or anything you need. The city of Penticton is a 20 minute drive. There are numerous hiking and biking trails in the area. The selection of world class wineries in the whole Okanagan region is second to none.

Thinking of coming in the Fall? September and October are beautiful months in the Okanagan. Hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding are all excellent options. Fall is harvest season and a great time to visit fruit stands, farmers markets and wineries. The Fall Okanagan Wine Festival runs September 29 - October 9, 2022.
