The property is a cozy two-bedroom house on an acre of land located centrally near Harrisburg, 2 minutes off Interstate 283. There are plenty of parking spaces and no fighting downtown traffic and parking in Harrisburg. It is easily accessible from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (6.7 miles) and Route 283 (0.6 miles), and Harrisburg International Airport (4.8 miles) and PA Farm Show complex (15 miles).
Get to places quickly like downtown Harrisburg and the Capital, Hershey Medical Center, Hershey and Hershey Park, The Vineyards at Hershey, The Star Barn Village, and Lancaster Amish country and kayaking on the Susquehanna River.
It has two bedrooms upstairs, that will sleep six, a reading nook, plus an eat-in Kitchen and Living Room downstairs and a covered front porch and covered rear deck with a picnic table, gas grille, and additional seating. Bedroom 1 has a daybed with a trundle unit and a reading nook. You WALK THRU bedroom 1 to get to the master. If you need the trundle unit, just inform us and we'll place it in the reading nook. Bedroom 2 has a new queen size bed and a full-size bed sleeping four. Probably not your best bet for TWO couples wanting space for a romantic getaway. The house is a small cottage, 835 sq. feet, so a family of six would be a cozy fit with a lot of togetherness. This is an OLD house, so it is creaky and cozy with quirks and wants you to feel at home. The bathroom has a slanted, lower ceiling, so this property is not for anyone OVER SIX FEET.
The water is well water, it's okay to taste, but we have bottled water available. Please review all pictures and descriptions so you know what to expect. If you don't review the descriptions thoroughly, you won't get a refund for accommodations that don't meet your expectations. Please review all pictures and descriptions so you know what to expect.
The house has a huge front porch with comfortable wicker and cushion seating, and privacy curtains at one end. The covered rear deck includes a picnic table for alfresco dining and gas grille.
The eat-in kitchen has seating for four around a kitchen peninsula, and a small dining table for two. I fully equipped the kitchen with supplies for a satisfying meal after a long day or a delicious breakfast to start your adventure. It has a farmhouse style sink with a touchless faucet. The house is on well water, so there is bottled water stocked in the refrigerator for drinking. Due to previous issues with the water, we now have a new how hot water heater and filter as of early January 2020 and have passed all water inspections. It still is an old house, so it's like home, not a hotel.
Included is wireless internet and a Roku television in the master and Roku television the living room that has cable.
