About this property

The Aerie is the entire upper floor of our home with its own ensuite (toilet, shower, external sink and mirror and is ideal for up to four people, or for small families. The small balcony gives a fantastic view of the surrounding area. The suite contains a double bed and two single beds in an open Bedroom/Sitting room area. If the weather is cool, a gas fireplace will quickly warm up the entire floor. A record Chinook Salmon Run is predicted for Port Alberni, so fishermen should book early for August & September fishing. The area also offers fantastic hiking, Cathedral Grove, a cruise on MV Frances Barkley to Bamfield or Ucluelet and some great restaurants. Ucluelet/Tofino are within 102/138 km). Enjoy the wonderful view with the included full breakfast. You're also welcome to join us in the dining room for supper. We’ll enjoy meeting you and helping you to enjoy your stay to the utmost.

Clean, functional property and welcoming, friendly hosts. We loved the included breakfast AND dinner options and the household pet companions. I personally would have felt more comfortable if there were more rugs on the floor (warmth and sound) and if the bathroom option in the large suit could be more private (sound and scent).

Cozy, clean and relaxing!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. The beds were so comfy! Highlights for us were Bill’s all homemade meals and the deck on the top floor overlooking the water was excellent!!

Wonderful, helpful hosts, great healthy food. We had the “attic” with 2 single beds, 1 double bed, private batheroom and great view of Inlet. Everything was great, would definitly stay again if we ever come back in the area.

Rare and unique gem!

Milly and Bill were delightful hosts. They go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. The top floor is exquisite with a shower and linens fit for royalty. This charming couple have taken great care to restore an old house and to make it a space where people can meet, and to rest after a day of adventures. We highly recommend this special place to anyone looking for meals, social interactions and a unique experience.

September stay

We had a nice stay in the Arie suite and really enjoyed the views out to a still working harbour. Great breakfast and enjoyed the dinners. Nice to not have to go out again in the evenings to search out a meal after a busy day exploring. The owners (and the dog and cat) are very friendly ! Thank you

Bill and Milly have hosted B & B travellers since 2012 (in Maple Ridge, B.C.) and moved to Port Alberni last year to get away from the CITY! We have been superhosts with another listing service, since July of 2014. Bill was born in Vancouver in 1951 and tutors high school math. Milly was born in Manitoba, but in her early adult years found she greatly preferred the B.C. coast. We have 2 adult children (living elsewhere), one cat and a dog. We enjoy meeting people and look forward to meeting you.

We purchased our property precisely because of it's fabulous location and views over Alberni Inlet.

On sunny days you can relax outside on your private balcony, join us downstair on the front veranda, or sit in the shade of the Pergola by the Koi pond and sip a cup of Ice Tea. Where-ever you choose to relax, the view is wonderful.
