This property exceeded our expectations and the owners were so gracious as well. It was exactly as advertised and so much more! Bigger than it seemed in pictures and the many little extras Barb left here and there were icing on the cake. Thanks!

Quiet, peaceful fall break

My son and I enjoyed our stay at Barbara and Freds. They are both very kind and sweet. They were very quick to respond to any questions/needs that we had.The property is beautiful and had just what we needed for our weeks stay. The surrounding area is gorgeous as well, with so many beautiful houses, and trees my soon loved it. He was very sad to go and hopes to stay there on our next trip. Great Place / Great Hosts

My son and I stayed at Barbara & Fred's place for 5 nights. Overall it was a great experience. We arrived much later than expected due to flight issues. Barbara & Fred still met us and showed us around. The place was very clean and well kept. They had everything that we could have needed available. Great communication with them, answered any questions we had. Location was perfect for us. Very safe, quiet area to relax after a long day. The hot tub was great, beds were extremely comfortable. My son said it was the best he has ever slept away from home. It was fun exploring the side roads and hiking areas that were not tourist attractions. The last 2 days of our trip we stayed in a really nice hotel in the city to be closer to a few planned things. We regretted not just staying at Barbara & Fred's for the whole trip. We would absolutely stay there again.

Nice stay in a canyon setting

The stay was really nice. The accommodations are very clean and it's a peaceful setting (with a few passing cars on the canyon road). The hosts were very responsive and nice to meet. The house is quite a ways up the canyon, which is very pleasant from a solitude standpoint, but does make for a bit of a trip to go do activities. All in all a really good experience.

Married my loving husband in Mexico City who is an International lawyer. We both enjoy meeting people from other cultures. Would love to show people how to get the most out of their stay in Los Angeles according to their interests.

We love nature and this property is surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. We often see deer, raccoons, horses at the bottom, bobcats, and of course cayotes. We enjoy listening to birds chirping during the day and owls hooting at night. The property is away from the city noises, especially sirens of police, emergency vehicles, and fire engines.

What makes this property unique

Close to the city restaurants and night life but 3.5 miles away up into the Santa Monica mountains. Very peaceful. Wake up to birds chirping and go to sleep with occasional owls hooting. Very spacious...1060 sq. ft. Two Yoga mats to stretch out and exercise balls to keep in shape. Large pool for swimming laps with adjoining jacuzzi. Hiking trails nearby for exercise and enjoying spectacular views of Los Angeles.
