I took my teenage sons to Snowshoe for the first time. This condo has a great location next to the Ballhooter lift and it’s a very short walk to the area near the slopes to put you skis on. The condo has been updated, even though the common spaces of the condo complex are dated. There are signs that the common areas updates are supposed to start the end of March after the ski slopes close for the season.
Wonderful stay for our family of 4. Close to stairs taking us almost directly on the slopes - much closer than the elevator and the slope exit. Had space for all of us without being too crowded.
The property was exactly as described and was equipped with all that we needed for our stay. It was comfortable and homey. We really liked the back entrance of the building, emptying right onto the top of Ballhooter trail. The overall property was definitely dated and worn. The parking lot was difficult to find and once in the lot, parking was not easy as they try to plow around available open spots when it snows; some spots are blocked by snow and some have a foot of snow and ice to drive over. The Winter Village is just a short walk away (less than 5 minutes) and provides plenty of shops and restaurant choices.
We took our family on our first family ski trip, my children are 6 and 8. This condo was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space and the walk to Ballhooter lift couldn't have been any shorter. Condo was clean, all required linens were there, and the full kitchen was a huge bonus. Make sure to bring food, because eating out with Covid was a huge pain and there is no grocery store on the mountain. Great first trip, will be coming back next year.
We loved staying slopeside. The building could use some updates and with our younger kids having to lug skis, we wished there were an additional elevator at our end of the building, but the owners were excellent communicators. And we appreciated the price last minute! Worth what we paid for sure.
Overall it was okay property. Location was close to everything and plenty of parking. Space wise for two couples I thought it was good. Now some of the bad, several of the electrical outlets in both bedrooms didn't work, there was a lack of hot water in the hallway bathroom, and finally the linen and extra pillow in the hall closet looked very un sanitary. I would stay at ML again, but probably not this unit again.
The location of this property is excellent… my only complaint is that it is very dated and we weren't able to turn the heat down at all or open windows. So every night was miserable to sleep

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Convenient location
Location was great in comparison to Village Center. We had two kids, one of which went to pre-ski school (located in basement). And short walk to the village center, which had some good spots to eat with the family, pick up ski rentals and passes, and coffee.
Although location was great, unit and building is very dated and the unit could use more household items. There was limited soap, the coffee maker had no filters, the cooking supplies were limited, and there was no Tupperware. Also, the kitchen/cooking space is significantly smaller than depicted in the photos. Also, the unit is on the 3rd floor and the elevators are not close to the unit. Coming in from village guest have to take stairs or walk to other end of building to grab elevators.
Although the property managers were very quick to respond, they were not that helpful. After notifying them it was our first time to Snowshoe and asking for tips, we were told to just look at the generic Snowshoe website. Also, their e-guestbook/travel book was not very helpful/insightful.
Overall, despite its convenience, I would recommend to friends and family that they stay someplace else.
We loved this property. This was our first time to Snowshoe and the location of the property was perfect. Close to the convenience store (walking distance), walking distance from the village AND right on the slopes!!!
The only negative for me was all the carpet and the apartment feeling stuffy. I have a dust mite allergy and the carpet (dust) didn’t agree with me but otherwise LOVED everything about it!
Enjoyed our stay over Presidents’ Day weekend. Condo was clean. It had a good location to the slopes. There were a lot of people there at Mountain Lodge, and in general it does show some age. For the price, this was a reasonable condo for a long weekend.
The condo was so convenient to the slopes, made for easy ski in/ski out. Also very walkable to the Village and local grocery. The condo was modestly stocked, had what we needed. It was nice to be able to cook at night when everyone was tired. We were not able to check in at 5 but this was during the snowstorm weekend and everything was a little off- so no big deal. Condo was clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
It was a great place to stay. It was great that we could rent a locker and be on the mountain. We could just put on our skies and ski down. it was close to Ski school also, which was nice with the children and we could walk to the village for dinner.
