About this property

There are 4 old village houses here. We conserved them and converted them into rooms and suites. Old village houses are disappearing in China. And we are trying to protect them. Inside this suite, full amenities are equipped, A/C, soft beds, water conserving western toilet, shower powered by eco-friendly heat exchange heaters, safe, coffee/tea facilities. It is 385 square feet and divided to living room and bed rooms (same floor). It is great for family travel (1-3 children). In September 2019, the 4th building will be ready serving as check-in area and restaurant/bar.

About the host

It is a gang of four, the 3 in the owner picture and the one taking the picture. Yang (in the middle, a same village guesthouse owner) started this idea of protecting the disappearing old wood houses in the village with Wei (picture taker, a tour company owner). Wei pulled Fengzi (Ian, a South African architect running a hotel in Yangshuo) and Lao Fang (an veteran tourism car driver) in. Fengzi masterminded the design & operations from his previous experience in hotel & travel.

Why they chose this property

You will get experience staying in an authentic traditional wood house with full amenities. And you will get help from people who understand you better. Restaurant & bar (Sept. 2019) will both feature local cuisine and western cuisine (the only one in the village).
