Great little gem
We had a very comfortable stay and the host was very kind and accommodating. The garden is a lovely and tranquil little oasis, very convenient location, safe, clean, fun, and cozy. Just what we needed.

Elevated charming property
I really like the location, it’s downtown central right in front of the oldest high school in El Paso. There are some stairs that you have to go up to get to the casita. The yard is not enclosed, so you can’t just leave your dog lose wandering. Place is good for short stay. All in all it was perfect for what we needed.

Hey there - I’m Gilbert-Ian! I was born in Houston, but was raised right here in El Paso. I love my city! It is so rich in culture and history. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
I am a primary educator and an award-winning children’s author. I am also earning my M.A. in American Literature at the University of Texas at El Paso. When I am not working on my goals, I spend my time helping underprivileged youth in my community. I strongly believe it’s important to inspire others and give back.
I love to eat! I have not traveled outside of the U.S. (except Cancun) but do plan to when I am done with school. I can totally see myself living in Spain and teaching English.
I realize it’s important to provide my guests with more than just a place to stay. I want to create a memorable experience for you by providing you with as much information and knowledge about my city as I possibly can. Let’s make a memorable connection!

My Motto: "Passion is the motto of all my actions."

Why they chose this property

This historical property has been in my family for decades and decades! It was only natural for me to take it on and add my own touches to it. I have spent the last three years completely renovating the entire property. Countless hours have also been invested in creating the perfect little outdoor oasis by planting fruit trees, flowers, and a wide range of other vines, trees, and plants. Anything to do my part in preserving the bees, of course. What can I say? My garden is my pride and joy. I have been hosting for 16 months and most enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I look forward to sharing my city with you!

What makes this property unique

My property is situated quite nicely on a hill. This wonderful detail provides me with the best views of El Paso. You can see deep into Mexico when you stand at my front porch and enjoy the most amazing views of downtown El Paso when you stand on the deck in the backyard.
