Horrible Stay and would NEVER do it again!
Our arrival per instruction was at 4 PM on Monday. We arrived at the property to find out the property manager and Cleaning Lady if that’s what you want to call them were on site in the property and the homeowner was nowhere to be found like the instruction said. The house was a mess, the reason was because the last tenant left at 1:00 PM. When I asked to use the restroom since we had driven so far, they allowed me to use the restroom and that should have been a sign I got to take the first glimpse at the home that they stated had been newly remodeled. The cleaning lady asked us if we could come back in an hour so she can finish cleaning. There was trash all over the driveway, and stayed there throughout our entire stay. There was also trash all on the walkway going up to the house. We got into the house at 6 PM and went to use the restroom in the master bedroom, the toilet didn’t work. Again the homeowner did not notify us nor call us about any of these issues. The next thing we did was go to sit in the living room only to find at least a dozen flies, and cobwebs everywhere. The TV wasn’t hooked up in any of the bedrooms, and required us to spend at least an hour trying to figure out how to hook up the TVs. I then called the homeowner Ken, and mentioned the toilet and told him that the house was not ready when we arrived, I said the least he could’ve done was notify us. He said that he would come over, and showed up two hours later. Later that evening when our son went to bed, there were ants crawling all over his pillow. He decided to sleep on the sectional couch since he felt there wouldn’t be any ants crawling on him out there. The next morning, I went to get into the shower in the master bath and the personal showerhead turned off and would not go back on. My husband had to go get a bowl out of the kitchen to rinse off the soap out of my hair and body. Again I contacted Ken and told him about the shower, he said that he would come over but was at another property at that moment. We waited for a little over an hour before he showed up. I explain to him about the ant situation and that we were frustrated of what we had experienced so far, I told him that I wanted to cancel, and he told me that we couldn’t cancel and get a refund since he came to rectify it. The ant problem continued and it was all over the front bath and unable to use the toilet. Both kids were unable to sleep in the rooms. Unacceptable!
