The prefect location for enjoying France to the fullest. Combines the people, the history and of course the food.. The prefect French experience that allows you to become one with their world
Very nice, old world charm with modern convenience. Perfect location. Plenty of restaurants, food market, shops. We had a great time!
Charming apartment in city center
Absolutely the most charming little town I’ve seen in France! We loved the apartment - our home fir 3 days!!
We really loved this apartment centrally located in Dinan. Thanks for the great reception and send off.
Bright and modern apartment in the medieval centre of Dinan
My wife and I and our 9-month-old baby stayed here for a long weekend in the middle of July. The old walled city of Dinan must be magical at any time, but we especially loved the ability to enjoy the streets and alleyways early in the morning and late in the summer evenings, when you have them almost to yourself. Directly outside are several cafes and restaurants with open-air seating; around the corner there's the first boulangerie; and then the entire walled city's worth of boulangeries are within about five minutes' walk if you have a specific baguette in mind.
Explore the side-streets to find another market or creperie or boutique, and don't miss following the old city walls from the chateau to the English garden, past the Basilique Saint-Sauveur, through the Porte du Jerzual, and down the Rue du Petit Fort to the river, where a string of restaurants and cafes lie at the end of a gauntlet of craft shops and boutiques.
The apartment has two good-sized double bedrooms and an open plan, flowing from the kitchen to the living and dining area, which open onto the balcony---which fits a table and two chairs---and over the street. It never felt too busy below of an evening, or too exposed to the street, although other apartments face the balcony over the street. The master bedroom windows open over a courtyard, setting up a nice cooling breeze on warm evenings.
The kitchen is compact but well-stocked and with good appliances including a dish washer, but be aware there is no oven. Likewise the bathroom is very comfortable with a large bath, but no overhead shower.
There's a TV and set top box tastefully locked in a cabinet, which also contained a wonderfully retro radio/cassette player which provided the soundtrack to our mornings and evenings.
The hosts optionally provided a pass to a very nearby 24/7 secure car park for a very reasonable rate, so you can easily use this as the base for day trips throughout Brittany and Normandy.
We recommend this apartment, and intend on returning.
