A quiet secluded getaway
We enjoyed stayed at Dave and Melanie’s place. It is a quiet area and the lake is beautiful. We loved using the kayaks and enjoying beautiful sunsets. The location overall is pretty secluded. We spent most of our time in Traverse City which is about a 20 minute drive. Check-in and check-out was simple. Overall, a nice stay for two people. Thanks!

A weekend in the heavens of Michigan
We stayed in the Bay Chalet Suite, and it was phenomenal, truly as good as it gets! Perfect location on the lake, short drive to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, and several of the other port cities on the north west side of the state as well. Dave was an incredible host and went above and beyond to ensure things went perfectly! I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for the best that Michigan has to offer, you will not be disappointed. A truly spectacular place with all the peace, quiet, and nature you could ask for, we will be back again!

A Weekend of Respite
Our 91 year old mother lives with us and this is just what we needed for a weekend of respite as we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Very peaceful and relaxing. Best part was the indoor hot tub and canoeing for hours exploring the lake. Owner was great! Very grateful we find this place.

Our love has always been Northern Michigan and we have pursued the dream of living here with our purchase of the Lake ‘N Pines Lodge Bed & Breakfast in the heart of the state’s most beautiful area. This provides us the opportunity to merge two of our favorite things: enjoying the treasures of the great up north and our passion for sharing our home with others.

We are a very unique lodging facility offering 3 diverse accommodations including a 900 sq ft suite with private sauna and Jacuzzi, and a two bed room suite with a full kitchen.
As well guests enjoy use of the kayaks, canoes, rowboats and outdoor Jacuzzi, all complimentary as well. It is our goal to make our guest feel welcome and relaxed.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation then you have found the perfect spot. Watch the sunrise from our dock while enjoying the sights and sounds of beautiful Northern Michigan. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because we had been vacationing in the Traverse City area for years. The beauty of the area and the unique specialty shops downtown makes it truly a great place to visit. I have always loved to fish and hike/enjoy nature. So finding a property on a large lake with only a handful of homes located at one end surrounded by state forest was a dream come true.

What makes this property unique

When people ask why we love the property we simply highlight some of the great benefits of it, such as:
* It is located on 1000 acre Lake Dubonnet, that is a sanctioned wildlife habitat
*Only 8 houses on the lake - all located in one channel and then the rest is surrounded by 6000 acres of the Pere Marquette State Forest
*We are 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City, which sits on Lake Michigan and is full of unique shopping and dining along with amazing outdoor activities
*We are located only 35 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore where we love to spend time exploring the dunes and the surrounding area
*We live in a community that takes great pride in its city and that supports its residents
*Its wonderful to live in one of the friendliest areas around! Strangers will bid you a hello or have a good day with a warm smile whenever you meet!
* The incredible outdoor adventures that are available in the area
