Far from the noise and bustle of big French cities, there is indeed another life in other regions, especially in the south of France. After Port-Vendres, I reveal the seventh city where life is good: Canet-en-Roussillon.

Favorable geography and climate

In the Pyrénées-Orientales, Canet-en-Roussillon is located 1 hour from the first Pyrenean foothills, 45 minutes from Spain, 10 minutes from Perpignan and on the shores of the Mediterranean. Former seat of the Viscounty of Canet and second largest city in the Pyrénées-Orientales in terms of population, it covers 22.39 km2 and has 12,436 inhabitants.
