About this property
Charming & beautiful bungalow - walk to downtown
Built in 1935 by admired artist, Paul Grimm, this beautiful home in the desirable and central Warm Sands neighborhood has been meticulously maintained and recently remodeled.
You'll fall in love, as we did, with the charming bungalow with its bright and airy living areas, the resort-like backyard that you'll never want to leave, and the delightful casita, providing peace and privacy.
Downtown Palm Springs is just a short walk away, with limitless options for fun, shopping, culture, and more.
When you pull up for the first time, you will be charmed by this picturesque property.
After admiring the landscaping and the massive San Jacinto mountain views in front of you, you'll enter the original bungalow, which was built in 1935 by artist Paul Grimm.
Kitchen: You'll enter the gleamingly clean galley kitchen, capable of a meal of any size. The Sub Zero fridge is ready to be stocked with your favorite beverages, and the built-in ice maker will keep them cold as you relax by the pool. If you're up to the challenge of cooking, the Thermador gas range awaits you, and you'll find the kitchen to be stocked as a real home, not as a vacation rental - help yourselves to the spices and other essentials, the myriad cooking utensils and equipment, and the locally roasted coffee The dining area has bright windows overlooking the mountains.
Living Area: After a long day of exploring Palm Springs, or doing nothing by the pool, enjoy this spacious room, with its soaring ceilings and many windows. The large tv offers you Netflix, Amazon Prime, or YouTube TV, with the channels you would expect to see w/ traditional cable.
Master Bedroom: Also in the bungalow, the main bedroom has loft ceilings offering a sense of spaciousness. Drift off to sleep on the king bed with luxury mattress and high-end bedding. If you choose to open the blinds, you'll enjoy waking up gently to the sun rising over Palm Springs. This room has a large TV for pre-bedtime binge-watching.
En-suite bathroom in bungalow: This gorgeous bathroom offers modern brass fixtures, marble tiles, handsome flooring, and a feeling of luxury.
Stunning Backyard, Pool, and Spa: Just outside, you'll be in awe of the breathtaking and resort-like backyard, with large 35 foot pool and spa, multiple conversation and lounging areas, dining space w/ BBQ, and views of the mountains. We have had family visitors forego their list of planned local activities in order to instead spend the day floating in the pool and lounging beside it - we won't blame you if you do, too! With the pool being so large, laps are easily doable.
Casita Bedroom & Bathroom: Adjacent to the pool is the delightful and newly remodeled Spanish-style casita, or cottage. The casita's bedroom is huge, and offers a luxurious king bed, French doors leading to the pool, separate heating/cooling system, and a large TV. The adjacent designer bathroom features distressed Italian wall tiles, stately mirror, and closet with ample storage.
We hope that you enjoy this unique and charming property as much as we do. While this listing is brand new because we are new Palm Springs home owners, we have had almost 40 guests stay at our San Francisco home, earning a solid 5* rating and Airbnb Superhost status. We would be delighted to have you book our new Palm Springs home.
Other things to note:
Pool heat is available at cost. Natural gas prices have gone up and the pool heat tends to be approx. $75 per day in the winter. If you choose to have the pool heated, you can select the temperature and we will pass the cost along. Pool heat unnecessary in summer, and it is less in fall and spring. $0 charge for spa heat. I
For stays 30 days or more: we will cover the first $300 (per 30 days) in electric bills and will ask you to cover any overage. This should be enough air conditioning to be comfortable, based on our experience.
Please be mindful of your neighbors by respecting the city quiet hours in the evening.
Absolutely no smoking in the house, please. If smoking outside, please be sure it’s not near an open door or window.
Main renter must be 25+.
