Sede della storica fabbrica di macchine da scrivere "Olivetti" è oggi un centro vivo di iniziative come lo Storico Carnevale che ogni anno attracted migliaia di turisti da tutto il mondo. Ivrea è anche una città con presente uno "Stadio della Canoa" infatti più volte è stata sede di Campionati Internazionali di Canoa.
